I’m half Irish about 3 generations out and have only ever perceived Ireland as unremarkable. Has there ever been anything great about it? Perhaps my judgement is skewed by too much U2 on the radio in my formative years.
Poets, writers, singers, mercenaries, and Guiness are the chief products that occur to me. After U2, I’m reminded of Clannaed and Enya.
