Stephen Kenny’s men played out a 0-0 draw against the Hungarians in Budapest on Tuesday night.

Ireland’s a great country but they have too many virtue signalers. Virtue signaling has not taken hold so far in Eastern Europe. Maybe they have developed a kind of resistance like resistance to a virus, because of their memory of communism.
Ireland,the land of my ancestors,was one a proud and decent land. But in about 40 years the European Union has turned it into just another European cesspool.
Memory of communism and of having to fight like hell for decades to get their countries back. They’re not about to surrender their hard won national sovereignty to a bunch of global socialists.

I’m half Irish about 3 generations out and have only ever perceived Ireland as unremarkable. Has there ever been anything great about it? Perhaps my judgement is skewed by too much U2 on the radio in my formative years.
Eastern Europe, like Israel in the Middle East, is an island of sanity. It’s a refreshing anomaly.
What a disgrace to Ireland these players are. Despicable. But of course the IRA was a commie movement, they covered that up real well, stateside.
Definitely the European Union. They went from passing the Eighth Amendment in 1983, which recognized equal right to life to both mother and unborn child, to passing the Thirty-Sixth Amendment in 2018, which gave the government the “right” to create abortion legislation.
I wonder how it’d go over if a player took a knee, held his hands in Prayer, bowed his head, and Crossed himself when his prayer was done?
I think I’d know how it’d go, and it speaks poorly for the future of our civilization.
