Australian Grand Prix Formula 1 race canceled in November over COVID-19

MELBOURNE, Australia -- The Australian Grand Prix has been canceled after local organizers and Formula One couldn't come up with a compromise over Australia's strict travel and quarantine issues relating to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The race was postponed from its original season-opening spot on the F1 calendar on March 21 and had been rescheduled for Nov. 21.
The 2020 Australian GP at the Albert Park street circuit in Melbourne last March was called off at the last minute at the start of the coronavirus pandemic shutdown.

They've lost their minds in Australia. They're cancelling a race in NOVEMBER even though over the last several months, they've AVERAGED less than 1 COVID death per day.
The First Fleet brought sheep with them when they traveled to Australia in the 18th. It seems the two species have now merged down under.

We just had two formula one races in Austria, week after week. And the last race last weekend had tens of thousands of the Dutch fans at the track, clad in orange to cheer Max Verstappen on to his second win in two weeks in Austria.
Last I looked, the Austrians and the Dutch are doing very well on covid and enjoying life.
Australia has gone and lost its mind.

Punishment a necessity. No F1,2,3, etc for down unda, for the foreseeable future.
Think of the savings in travel cost alone much less the annual upheaval in schedule changes based on nebulous thought processes.
Forking Aussie bureaucrats and Government, and the people who seem to give credence to them.
