If you are implying that handguns are illegal in Germany, you would be mistaken. Legal to own - fairly easy, after jumping through some bureaucratic hoops. Legal to carry - now that IS difficult.
I’m just recalling something I saw a while back. I think the main takeaway is that the long-barreled revolver is not classified as a handgun.
Other than that, I have to plead ignorance.
