I turned off my radio the day Rush died, and I haven't turned it on since. I doubt I'll ever turn it on again.
Like Benjamin Franklin and Mark Twain, he was a talent that comes along only once in a century. He is irreplaceable.

Me too. When Rush crossed over, it was the end of an era.
Younger generations will probably not ‘love’ the radio the way we and prior generations loved and needed it.
To: conservative98
Yup...absolutely! The guys taking his place aren't nearly as compelling as was Rush.I don't think I've listened to them for much more than 45 minutes since they started.OTOH,if Mark Steyn had replaced him I strongly suspect that I'd be a regular listener today.

I bet you miss Ronald Reagan, too, huh?
What, exactly, did Reagan or Limbaugh do to prevent the disaster that we face today?
Conservatism has conserved nothing. Time for something new.

He's being replaced by 1,000 podcasters.
• Tim Pool
• Joe Rogan
• Chuck Woolery
• Dave Rubin
• Matt Walsh
And many others. They may not be perfect conservatives, some are reformed liberals, some don't even consider themselves to be conservative, but they're getting the word out.

I remember the first time I heard Rush.In January of ‘89 we were vacationing in Florida (the Sarasota area) and one afternoon we were driving down I-75 and I just happened to tune to WFLA in Tampa. Rush was on,talking, and I couldn't believe what I was hearing. After about 30 minutes I just about drove off the road...”this guy thinks just like me!” I said. Well,it was a few years before he made it to Boston radio (this was long before iHeart Radio) and the rest was history!

I was at a large conservative convention in Colorado last June, lots of great speakers. But not one of them mentioned Rush, not even once.
He was on our hearts and minds, though.

Yes. But Xiden is undoing himself and that Administration of his without any help at all. We are going to see a Congress controlled by the opposing party come the elections of 2022.

When Rush made his announcement about his cancer I wrote him a note in one of the prayer threads on his site. I told him I had listened to him since his first day on the air and that I was praying for him. I promptly forgot about the note, but not the praying.
3 or 4 months later I got a package. In it was a picture of Rush getting his Medal, 2 Rush t shirts and a jacket, and a thank you note. I, for the life of me, couldn’t figure out where it came from. After a while I realized it was the result of my note to him, from Rush’s people as a generous thank you for being a listener.
