Today's heartwarming Feelgood Story..................
Nice one.
That TRUST by the hawk, priceless! Thanks for sharing!
Amazing! Thank you, Red Badger, for posting this video :)
Thank you for sharing this as it is beautiful to watch.
God’s creatures know who to trust when Man doesn’t.
Well done! The hawk flew away, but I fear it was so dehydrated and weak that it won’t be able to hunt, so it likely perished anyway. But at least it flew, and didn’t die trapped in old fishing line.
Fishermen: be aware that the mono you leave on branches and wires can kill birds.
Makes one wonder if he had been rescued before, maybe from an oil spill.
I see red hawks everyday in my neighborhood. I take this as a good sign that they are breeding and thriving here in NE Florida.
But it’s really funny to watch a pair of Mockingbirds tag-team them and drive the hawks mad until the much bigger hawks flee!
Boyd’s OODA loop in nature.
It is against the law in Florida to throw discarded fishing line into the water or grounds.....................
See 7. Probably too weak to resist.
Totally agree, but I still see tangles of mono in branches and on wires near fishing spots. Perfect snares for birds.
WOW - that was wonderful. Thanks for posting.
We have a red hawk that hangs out by our bird feeder. :(
They are bad ass. Once in a while in my backyard one will fly right over me to land on a fence. Masters of the air.
Until a pair of mockingbirds decides to harass them!
The hawk fully recovered and lived a long and happy hawk life.
My thought, too. You see trainers with those big gloves.
I hope so. But in any case, it did not die trapped in snares of line. It flew away, thanks to that human hero.
Glad to hear it.
My grandpa had a red hawk that sat on the backyard fence that waited for him to come out the back door. The hawk would land on his large sunhat.
I think Grandpa put corn on the top of his hat to train it. He had a way with animals.
