Former Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) said she is considering a bid to fill the seat vacated last week by Rep. Don Young (R-AK).
Young died on Friday at the age of 88. He was the longest-serving member in the House of Representatives at the time of his death.
Young had held Alaska’s sole seat in the U.S. House of Representatives since 1973. He became Dean of the House following the 2017 retirement of Rep. John Conyers.
Young was asked by the New York Times in 2020 how long he intended to serve in the House. He responded: “God will decide that, or the voters.”
Palin signaled on Monday she is ready to throw her hat into the ring as speculation regarding who will replace Young grows.

Wasn’t Palin a client of Ted Stevens?
I always suspected that one of the reasons that Palin declined to run for POTUS was because of the “accident” that happened to Ted Stevens after he was cleared of the bogus charges that were made against him in 2008. The “career professionals” who concocted the evidence against him were actually promoted in the Holder Justice Department and the FBI. Stevens has planned on getting his seat back from one of the Begich kids who had beat him, but word was he had problems with his small aircraft.
The Young Seat is powerful in Alaska. It’s basically a huge patronage machine, as it’s the only one in the state. If Palin could get Trump’s support and the support of people like DeSantis and make her peace with the Murkowskis, she’d have a Chinaman’s chance.
But don’t kid yourself, Palin would have to go b#lls to the wall retail like she did in 2006 to win the seat. She’d also need to hire a speechwriter. The Biden people have done her a huge favor in that they have poisoned the Democratic Party’s name in that state for a generation.
By running for Young’s seat, she could bury the hatchet with Lisa, which could solve a big problem in the huge clowntard show that is the Republican Party of Alaska.

I got it, but she's being judged on a very high bar - she's not the daughter of wealthy, connected parents - she's pretty-much blue-collar.
Granted, she's no great intellect, but there are some very bright people/Rhodes scholars-types who are, well, idiots.
And have you seen some of the morons in the House? Tell me she couldn't eat their lunch all day long.
She's made some poor choices, but who the heck hasn't. All-in-all she's had much more success than most of us from that same socio-economic strata.

Sarah is one of the few female Republican politicians that hasn’t stabbed us in the back.
Not a factor for this election. Ranked voting doesn't take effect until the August primary.
I used to be a huge fan of hers (search for some of my posts and you will see) until I saw her at the 2013 NRA Keynote.She was wooden, predictable and borderline phoney.
You could feel the energy drain from the room, Palin did not grow from here experience, there was no proverbial "fire in her belly'.
And then Judge Jeanine Pirro followed Palin and set the room ablaze.
I am fairly certain you can find the speeches on YouTube (NRA 2013, Houston) and you will understand what I am talking about.
Sarah didn’t play their political games she wanted to honestly represent people and principles without cutting sweetheart deals with special interests like Don Young and other conventional politicians did.
Sarah is pro-business just not pro-business bent over grabbing the ankles for them.
Reagan called politics the “world with its pants down”.
She likes to keep hers on.
Isn’t about time in a world with Hunter Biden and the prostitute out there for everyone to see.
I think she fell in love with the spotlight and sideshow talk circuit.

Palin did well in both tactics and strategy, and got the best result possible for an impossible situation.
I would love to see her in Congress.
People Posting out here as if it takes some sort of mental Giant in order to run for Congress. You know, Mental Giants such as AOC, Pressley, and the Islamic Witches from Minnesota and and Michigan, Omar and Tlaib. Those are some genuinely intellectually stunted screwed up women.
Sarah would be a light. She is no dummy, but she has a family and has been ruthlessly treated by the Slime who obnoxiously and hypocritically present themselves as conveyors of objective information.
I like her. I think she could be very helpful in setting things right.
Disagree. Sarah Palin endorsed the RAT backed "Independent" candidate for Alaska Governor in 2014 (who had a "unity" ticket by picking the former DemonRAT nominee as his "running mate") over the GOP nominee, and she held a fundraiser for him at her home. He went on to narrowly win that election and proved to be every bit the disaster as Governor that Republicans had warned about.
Why did she use the word “Congress” today instead of “the Senate?”
Good point. She was betrayed by McCain staff, by his GROPElite handlers, and her “coaches” in McCain’s campaign.
