Found this at the thrift store today one end appears to be a 26 pin female from what I can count and is a pushsnap connector and the other end is a parallel 25 pin/DB25 male.
Pics below.
Thanks in advance.

There exist an incredible number and variety of connectors and connector types. When you include obsolete types, the problem gets even bigger. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful.

Cut the connectors off, slit the jacket and you’ll
have wire for projects.

Looks like a parallel printer cable, sometimes used for disc drives IIRC.

I hate to ruin this fun Post full of Witty comments!
But I know exactly what it is.
It is the plug for a PAL VCR. Here in the US, we use NTSC and specific plugs. In Europe, they use a different video format and completely different style plugs between their TVs and VCRs, etc.
My Swedish DVD player uses traditional style video connections. But my old DVD uses your plug.

Can you take a clear picture of the writing on the cable?

The db25 on the other end says printer cable. The db25 is a parallel port. The cables were usually printer specific since there was not a standard of which pins on the db25 went to which pins on the printer connecter. Computers still had printer ports until 10 or 15 years ago. I used it to run a simple cnc before embedded boards became so cheap.
