I bought a couple bios about Musk...he doesn't stand still...if it doesn't work...we'll fix it...SOOOOO creative.
One would think his mind is cluttered...but he knows how to organize it...His mind is like Einstein's desk...

And sometime, somewhere, some democrat will halt all of this progress through tragedy because he allowed conservatives a voice and also allowed the bad orange man to speak

Starship has not flown since May of last year, and will not until sometime next year - so deep is the Musk hate in the Fed gov.
Starship flew 4 times in 2021 and was scheduled to fly at least twice in 2022. But FAA and EPA halted the flights with petty concerns. Forcing Musk to move the operation to FLA, but will the FAA grant a license anytime soon?
Now that Artemis has flown, Starship is a step closer to its next flight. Next hurdle is a successful Blue Horizon flight to orbit, which may be some years out. But by then Blue Horizon will take over the contracts as SpaceX is slowly squeezed out. IMHO.

Great try on the self driving cars Elon. I sincerely wanted them to work. But they don’t. But all of your other efforts are amazing.

Elon Musk is one of America’s greatest businessmen. He must be ranked with Rockefeller, Carnegie and Vanderbilt.

How long before the DOJ and federal regulators get down to the business of destroying him for his political beliefs? You can count on it.

The difference is...their money was their life...they never created a damn thing and hurt a lot of people.
Musk creates things and money is part of the reward.
To: bert
Unfortunately, all three are dead, and I fear too many of his enemies would love to see Musk “ranked” among them.

You are misinformed.
Those mentioned created kerosene, gasoline, steel and railroads.
Absent their efforts America would be a much different and backward place

Can you say MONOPOLY....all 3 were guilty
To: bert
Your assessment of Elon is wrong. The richest man in the world is indeed the Tesla of our time. Yeah, NASA doesn't want anyone outdoing Artemis but if/when Starship gets off the pad, the payload capability will far exceed anything EVER.
My biggest concern is, will Starship and it's heat tiles be able to withstand the incredible vibration and other forces placed upon it by the booster upon its ascent?
NASA NEEDS SpaceX yet THEIR overlords hate Musk. Delicate political tug-of-war and I hope SpaceX wins out and gets that baby off the pad!

And what does that have to do with your first assertion that they did not create anything?
Either they did or they did not create something.

They didn’t create steel or railroads or oil...or kerosene...They bought into businesses and created monopolies.
