A man used stolen money to gamble on in a bet. After he won over 100 times the amount of money he gambled on, he refused to give the person he stole from their fair share of the money.

Now he is at risk of losing his relationship.

The man allegedly stole 10K from his girlfriend to use in a bet and ended up winning 100M. In 2021, the man from Nigeria allegedly stole the money after his girlfriend had left it on his shelf while visiting him. While she took a trip to the salon, he took the 10K in Nigerian dollars and placed it in a bet that lasted for two days.

He promised his girlfriend that he would win back her stolen money and return it to her.

Basically he stole her money and won a bet and won over $100 million Nigerian dollars, about $174,000 USD.

I have these Africans and Indians telling me that she does not get the full amount of $100 million Nigerian dollars and should only get the $10,000 back. I tried to explain to them that the win belongs to her because it was her money and she did not relinquish ownership of the money.

Stupidity abounds. She really asked for it.

He would be wise to offer her 30 million to Settle . She would probably take it. But he’ll probably be stupid and take it to trial.

She wants 40 million, which I think is more than fair. In my opinion, the whole amount belongs to her. However, she is still letting him have the greater share, which I think he should take.

I agree, if he isn’t willing to settle on the generous terms she has offered, he will take it to a trial. Stupid move if he does.

Natives signed a treaty to give up ownership.

It's Nigeria. She'll be lucky if they don't bury her in a hole and throw rocks at her head.

Who says “crime does not pay”? Presently, the criminals are getting all the breaks, while the rest of us are just trying to avoid being cancelled.

$10,000 is only about $174USD. It may not meet the minimum of her country. I know in the Philippines, you need about $300 to avoid fees eating up your savings.

How much does he love her? He can share the money and stay with her, or keep it, and lose her. What’s it going to be?

So the amount stolen and bet was $US 17.40.

Grabbing a $20 from a girlfriend's purse isn't exactly the crime of the century.

The Nigerian “Dollar” or Naria is about 1/740th of a US dollar.n. If this was 10,000 Nigerian “dollars” it is a little over 13 US dollars.

Likewise if it is 40 million being requested it is 54k.

It is interesting how many people here have no clue that there are serious cultural differences between how we think and how Nigerian's think.

Honey, when you are through texting your cousin in Chicago, can you give me back my share of the winnings from the money that you stole from me?

To you, it’s $20 because your earnings are at least 2,000 times that. Her $10,000.

Based on the average income of the Nigerian, it would be about a month’s income.

It’s about a month’s income for a Nigerian. That’s without knowing her actual personal income but the average income of the Nigerian.

$1.00 USD is equal to 773.51 Nigerian dollars so he won about $129,280.81.
