This is the horrifying moment a small dog was grabbed by the neck in a savage attack by an XL Bully.
Terrifying footage shows the XL Bully lunge at the small white dog before sinking its teeth into its neck and gripping onto it in Maghull, Merseyside on Sunday.
A man holding the small dog desperately tries to free the pup, while a man in a blue t-shirt helps by hitting the XL Bully with fabric.
A witness said the XL Bully's owner had told the owner of the small dog, 'lift your dog because I can't control her', before the vicious animal slipped out of its collar.
...The footage of the attack surfaced on social media, where people expressed anger at the XL Bully not being on a lead.
One person said: 'Why is the dog off its lead? This is what I don’t get.' The person who posted the video clarified that the dog had escaped.

I’ve owned dogs all my life. Pit bulls are trash breed dogs.

These dogs were bred to fight. That breeding is going to get triggered and come out of them sooner or later. I don’t care how good people think their dog is.

I have nothing but contempt for those who take unleased/unsecured dogs into public. The people who do this are complete idiots. Every single one I have ever encountered are complete morons.

I’ve seen morons with their dogs on leashes, but the idiot owners are not holding the leash. They’ll tell ya, “Well the sign said dogs must be on leash, and it was”.
Rules and common sense just don’t apply to these jackasses.

I like it when I go to the beach and there’s some three or four year old with the family pit walking it around on a leash..mmand the family is over there on the beach blankets going “oh how cute” “that’s precious” idiots
I hired a guy to teach me how to walk my German Shepherd without a leash & he refused to do so. He explained that any dog may interpret someone walking towards you & tripping as an attack. A leash allows the owner to pull them off if they did. He said you never want to put your hand around their face if they’re biting.
If a dog is biting and wont stop, if it has a collar, grab the collar behind it’s head, lift the dog off it’s feet a couple inches, and then twist the collar in your hand, but only hold for a few seconds as it will cut the dog’s airway off. Works very well.
Btw, I know someone who sued a dog owner for about 35k, not because they were bit, but because the dog made the fall to the sidewalk, causing them injury. People who don’t secure their dogs really are rolling the dice.
