I would like to see the Senate hold a vote on Bob Menendez 😂

In Bob’s case, to be fair, state/fed court will likely convict him. Maybe he can delay this to the end of 2024, but it’s unlikely that he can avoid conviction. Senate will just ‘wink’ and let him go to the final day. I’ll predict that Biden pardons him anyway.

A ton of Dems voted to keep Santos or voted “present”...

If Biden wanted to pardon Menendez he wouldn’t be on trial at all.

There is something to be said for innocent until proven guilty I guess.

I might argue that all of the jan 6 people should have the same presumption, but since they don’t I might also argue that every person who voted present, or not to eject should be ejected themselves.

The voters should decide.

The author calls that an “overwhelming” vote?

Odd that apparently a significant number of Democrats did not vote in favor of expelling him, though...that would have been enough.

So, who are the repubbies/GROPElite who voted “Present” ? Who voted him off their Island?

Nevermind on it being “enough” to expel him - it would have required a 2/3 vote to expel...though it would have created a majority vote.

I was listening to the radio describe Santos' offenses: lying about his background and lying to his donors.

I almost crashed my car laughing. They'd all have to be expelled!

How does he vote? Given the criminals and POSs on the Dem side (and many on the Republican side, too) all I care about is how he votes.

Well he's been charged with a slew of crimes including credit card fraud but hasn't been convicted (yet).

Given the politicization of prosecutions, I take any indictment of a Republican with a huge grain of salt.

It’s up to the voters to get rid of Santos, no one else.

You do what the rats would do. You stick with him no matter what.

Perhaps he should finish his term and quietly quit. He would have more honor than the rats. The GOP does not have the same backbone. Think of those who wanted Ken Paxton out.

I agree, mainly because I do not trust any politicized prosecution by the filthy regimes in DC and Albany.
