HUGE NEWS! Ford CEO Shocking WARNING To All EV Makers!
You Tube ^ | 11/8/23 | ChargeDrive

Are EV's a scam?! Ford CEO just abandoned electric cars, leaving the entire auto industry SHOCKED and CONFUSED! Ford is losing nearly 36,000 dollars on each EV they built, and could now close their doors forever! Why?
Because customers are REJECTING Ford’s EVs! With nearly 92,000 EVs sitting unsold on dealer lots, scammy dealer markups to fool the middle class, and 35,000 vehicle recalls just a couple of weeks ago, Ford is in a huge crisis!

“And it’s peculiar how some Ford engineers are downplaying potentially dangerous problems with the braking systems on their F 150EV.”

What braking problem?

I bet you don’t live in the cold winter parts of the country where cold saps battery energy and salt/roads erode the vehicle’s metal undercarriage and wire connections. When the batteries need replacing, the car is worthless because the batteries exceed the used vehicle’s value. It’s a nice idea but a very expensive venture when factoring in the depreciation and travel range limitations.

i think the battery bus where all the passengers pedal to charge the battery shows great promise

also uber rickshaw will be a big hit

all kinds of investment opportunities that are far superior to the gas cars

“The government will bail out Ford and take over the management of marketing and production.”

Unlike other auto companies, Ford has never had a bailout. It has received loans but every cent was repaid.

Yes. Years ago they declined the government bailout and I have a lot of respect for that.

I like that!

I miss “real” cars. And I hate that the foreign cars have no style and all look the same.

That was the plan all along.

Why should Ford build cars? They can have them made in China and import them a lot cheaper.

Pretty quick with these high interest rates and the new union contract

I am ambivalent on EVs. If you want one, go for it. It’s a free market (other than the taxpayer subsidy!). As for the range issue - it’s a question of habit. There is a reason why Tesla invested heavily in a network of EV fast charging stations. And plenty more will come online at all kinds of locations. If you are going 300 miles or even farther, chances are you are going to make a stop and stretch or eat or break for nature every couple of hours. That would be the time to take 20-30 minutes to charge, a little longer than gasoline but at this point cheaper too. And the Tesla will map the locations for you, apparently, if you use their GPS it will tell you when it’s time to charge and where you may want to go to charge it up.

The new In-n-Out burger they just built near me has 4 charging stations and a rooftop solar panel patio. But I’m in sunny SoCal where it makes sense - the issue is storage of energy from the sun, or redirecting it back to the grid; and pulling energy from the plant on days when the sun doesn’t shine.

You make good points about cold climates and salted roads, no doubt about it. Another negative factor is maintenance. You are entirely dependent on the car maker for just about any replacement parts... and that is what it is - replacement. They seldom repair anything. Just swap it out like a piece of Lego. When the batteries go out with the warranty, it may no longer be worth it financially to replace them and may have to just throw the car away. And for that the government may sock you with a hazmat disposal fee to boot!

If anything, Ford is airing out their problems so as to get a big juicy Gov’t Bail Out.

>I bought a Ford Fusion Hybrid in 2013 when the updated model first came out. I still drive the car today.

Similar 2013 model year C-Max. Very happy with it. Now the poor Ford dealership is a glum place full of EVs and mega-SUVs in the midst of an un-announced recession.

>Will Ford go back into the sedan business?

So ... the UAW just beat up the ‘big 3’ and I’m reasonably sure their idea of fair working wages doesn’t allow a regular car to be made here under union rules and still make money. (Gee, why don’t Toyota and Honda build plants in Michigan?)

Now, if you could trash about half the regulations and get back to some that actually produce safety, you could cut hundreds of pounds off the weight, save money, and by the by get great gas mileage, but not with the Eternal Deep State and Brandonism.

From what l heard they let the entire ICE engineering team go. If that is even close to true it is stupidity as art.

“When the batteries go out with the warranty, it may no longer be worth it financially to replace them and may have to just throw the car away. And for that the government may sock you with a hazmat disposal fee to boot!”

Batteries are lasting longer than expected.

Used batteries have value. Tesla is using them for home installations.

Newer batteries may outlast the car.

Problem is a lot of states have passed laws that won’t allow you to buy anything but EVs in about 10 years.
