But ... My main take-away was a feeling of “THESE people on the stage are the best we can come up with in the whole country??”

Well, I still believe it is relevant as the founding fathers found it to be. Too bad they didn’t think it necessary to define it in precise language. Problem they had is that in 1786. Many were not actually Natural Born Citizens of the U.S because the U.S. did not exist when they were born. The Supreme Court is too weak-kneed, and always has been, to address the meaning of what a Natural Born Citizen meant as the country aged to maturity.

Sure are a lot of Trump haters on this forum tonight. I can’t believe all this hatred against Trump’s gal Ronna.
May I remind you that Trump appointed her in 2016. And just this year he congratulated her on being renamed chairman.
But I suppose someone will disagree with this obvious statement and release a Trump Social post where he is excoriating McDaniel and calling her nasty names as is his wont.
So I’ll just sit here and wait for this.

That second article is from 2020, and I would hope Trump would have changed his mind about her by now. In the meantime, he likely won't say any nasty things about her due to his current campaign. Not that she, or the RNC ever really did anything for him before now, but I don't think Trump will come down on her. If he's allowed to win in 2024, I think that's when he'll likely spew his guts on her. I wish he would do it now though. Unfortunately, Ronna McSlug is around for 2 more years to lose even more elections. She must have some sugar daddies and mommies among the members of the committee that put her back in office this year, so she could continue her losing streak. Those morons that voted for her should be ashamed of themselves. It's a secret ballot I guess. I wonder if she can be recalled.

This is exactly why this is an important issue, because as a usurper he did a lot of damage to this nation, and the likes of President George W. Bush remained silent too. He too deserves to be brought up on charges of treason in my opinion. Because he certainly made no attempt to uphold the Constitution that he swore to uphold & protect.
