Fine. I long since left the Reagan fan club.
His and Thatcher’s failures built the core of what we are dealing with now.
And the Right isn’t going to get anywhere until there is an honest assessment of the Reagan and Thatcher legacies.
We certainly aren’t going to get anywhere with politicians who want to be Reagan Re-enactors and ‘80’s nostalgists.

The removal of silver from coins came after Kennedy:
The Coinage Act of 1965, Pub.L. 89–81, 79 Stat. 254, enacted July 23, 1965, eliminated silver from the circulating United States dime and quarter dollar coins. It also reduced the silver content of the half dollar from 90 percent to 40 percent; silver in the half dollar was subsequently eliminated by a 1970 law.
Nixon got in trouble with the permanent government and it broke him. Reagan was able to handle them and they didn't break him. I guess Clinton was able to control them too.
If presidents are more troubled now, it's not just the Deep State. It's also all the activist groups. Challenge either and you're in for trouble.
