Fetterman rejects progressive label, as left wing attacks him over his position on Israel and immigration

After calling himself a progressive Democrat for several years, Democratic Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania is renouncing that label, as he has come under attack from the left wing of his party in recent months.

“I would just call myself a Democrat,” he told CNN’s Jake Tapper earlier this month. “And I believe that I’m on the right side of issues, whether that’s being very pro-choice, maybe that I believe that is being pro-union, and if I believe that’s pro-Israel as well, too.”

Fetterman’s comments come as he has faced attacks from the left wing of his party over his pro-Israel rhetoric amid the country’s war with Hamas and his support of the Senate immigration negotiations that progressives have rejected.

I guess that stroke had some positive benefit, and please, that word “progressive” makes my skin crawl. It’s so misused and the media won’t stop it, it’s like calling the devil “saintly”. There is NOTHING NOTHING the left does that is “progressive”. “REgressive” would be a much better word to use such as “The regressives set back race relations 50 years” “The regressives set the economy back to Great depression levels”

Go read Carlos the Jackal and you’ll find him penning the root of your observation. He penned the Marxist Muslim alliance years ago.

>He’s trying to look like Manchin.<

Exactly! There is a lot of power in being the swing vote in the senate and he is ready to assume that role.

Like Manchin, he will hold out on “principle” until he gets a few personal goodies added in then abandon those “principles” and vote with Schumer anyway.

The road map is old and worn.

The rats know they need at least one Dem to say a few things that are not totally left fringe for their overall image. It costs them nothing and it means nothing, he will always vote the party line whenever it is needed.

The lyin’ snakes triangulate on things to say when they are RAISING MONEY! Its all about the MONEY. Just look at Bernie and AOC, two grifters who have made millions saying illogical and stupid things.
