Mav was a LT in the first movie, never watched the second, probably was a member of the 5th Civ Div.

The second was better than the first in my opinion. I’m pretty sure that the rank of Lieutenant, is lower than the rank of captain.

-—being funny——that’s OK. Keep working at it. Never mind the rank differences. The thing to remember about Maverick 2 is that the combat part is a pretty good “war game” study of what it might take to knock out Iran’s nukes. Break out your map of Iran and you can see how the mountains might be an issue. And the dead giveaway that it’s about Iran is the end when Mav escapes in an F-14. Iran is the only country that might be keeping a few operational.
