Watch what happens if an election is allowed in November. Think Bundy Ranch to the 10th power.
Having visited the Korean DMZ and having gotten to know a Korean-American guy who served in the Korean Army (artillery) I can assure Freepers that Koreans are *not* cowards and will fight you relentlessly!
It’s not a civil war if the Army is only on one side. That’s called a slaughter.
I have always taken the position that none of the outrages of the central government could lead patriots to anything other than slaughter AS LONG AS THE ARMY WAS ON THE SIDE OF THE GOVERNMENT and the chain of command remained undivided.
I’ve never seen a CW II scenario that was even slightly plausible until I read about Mary McCord trying to organize #resistance among the officer corps in the event that Trump was inaugurated. Given the changing composition of the officer corps and the drastic falloff in white male enlistments, together with the way the Deep State reacted to Trump 1.0, I can EASILY see refusal to propagate lawful orders along the chain of command, appointment of an unconfirmed SECDEF with some commands loyal to the legal Executive and some to Obama (PLEASE stop the “Biden did this” posts) leading to open warfare around DC and at the ports.
My thoughts exactly.
We know that should Trump win in November, there will be violence.
And, a good many folks strongly feel that the favor should be returned should our corrupt media and government manage to cheat their way into another win.
The left has taught us that they WILL (and have) used violence. What’s good for them is good for us...we’re fed up with the bull-Obama that oozes from their corrupt lips.
So, there will be most probably be violence following the election. Sad, but true.
Lame.
The writer takes some of the worst examples of violence and then attempts (poorly) to extrapolate that into a national powder-keg.
I’m willing to wager all comers:
1) There will be a Presidential Election held on 11/05/2024
2) A President-Elect will be sworn in on 01/20/2025
The difference between 1992 and 2024 is that no major American city allows for citizens to defend themselves in a similar manner.
” Rioting and looting were sparked when a young black man was arrested for the violent robbery of a Korean-American business”
NOT how I remember it.
i remember tv stations playing a highly edited video of a large black guy getting a beat down after attacking some cops.
Playing it over and over and over again until they got the riot they wanted.
OWO, the TV networks incited a riot. Still at it today.
We have a gunsmith in the area named Roof Korean Custom Gunsmithing. Gonna have to stop by and see what’s what.
FAFO!
I remember it well because I was there along with about a thousand other Border Patrol Agents. We came from San Diego, El Centro and the now closed Livermore Sector.
The problem was they did not deploy us for 3 days. By then LA was a smoldering ruin.
We could have been there and deployed in 3 hours and made a significant difference but the DOJ leadership failed to issue the order. I think they just wanted it to burn.
A lot of people and property was lost as a result.
Until the next time it erupts.
The 1992 riots started in black Watts. Watts is now about 80% Mexican. The Mexicans have effectively wiped out Obama’s so-called “army.” Mexicans now make up the majority ethnicity in LA County. There won’t be another riot in Watts.
Never fire a warning shot.
I thought this was an article about the Yellowstone super-volcano.
WTF? That's not what started Rodney King riots of 1992 in Los Angeles. It was the police being acquitted from their relentless beat down of Rodney King. The flash point was at a liquor store on Florence and Normandy Avenues which are not in Korea Town. It spread from there.
No matter how peaceful they appear on the surface, no volcano is truly dormant.
The Yellowstone caldera appears peaceful. If you ignore Old Faithful and swarms of low magnitude earthquakes.
However, at some point it will erupt again. And the devastation is likely to be continental in scale.
Mount St. Helens was long thought to be dormant, until it blew itself right out of the Big Mountain category,
