ATLANTA (AP) — The judge in the Georgia election interference case against Donald Trump and others said Friday that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis must step aside from Trump case or remove the special prosecutor with whom she had a romantic relationship before case can proceed.
Willis and special prosecutor Nathan Wade testified at a hearing last month that they had engaged in a romantic relationship, but they rejected the idea that Willis improperly benefited from it as lawyers for Trump and some of his co-defendants alleged.
Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee said he found the “allegations and evidence legally insufficient to support a finding of an actual conflict of interest.” However, he found there remains an “appearance of impropriety.”

If Trump has to appeal it will make it easier , it’s not a trial it’s a circus
Is his (non) decision appealable and would another court be inclined to look at it differently?
Or is he the final say here on this ahem, travesty?
The only benefit to DJT is that the case will be significantly delayed as The Fanny appoints another Low IQ flack as special prosecutor.
BS finding by the Judge (who used to work with Fani?).
This judge is either fully corrupt, incompetent, been bribed, or been threatened.

Disagree. The goal is to get Trump and this case will not be significantly delayed. There WILL BE guilty verdict before the election. They’re already working on selecting a politically motivated jury.
The evidence of perjury, fraud and yes, an actual conflict of interest (political + Fani’s BOOK) is absolutely overwhelming! I’ve never even HEARD of a case with so much evidence of wrongdoing!

Really ticked off with the ruling. In his report he destroys her for her racist comments in church. Using his document I think the state of Georgia has enough to disbarred her.

Willis or Wade has got to go? They engage in and hide an illicit affair, travel on luxe vacations once Wade gets the big buck from Willis, and this judge can’t see the impropriety?
Judge says it’s ‘legally’ improper, but doesn’t rise to the level necessary for them both to be kicked off the case.

Alan Dershowitz predicted exactly this yesterday on Meghan Kelly’s show - the cowardly judge would chicken out.
A white judge in a predominantly black democrat heavy state was very likely “pressured” by blm, perhaps even using threats of riots, or worse- and feared to do the right thing.
