I never heard of tianeptine. It sounds like it should be illegal.

Right there is a warning sign. ;-)

“The 41-year-old from Alabama was struggling with low energy, so a family member who worked at a gas station recommended she try the pills.”

It may not be the best of ideas to take medical advise from Cousin Eddie working the overnight shift at the local gas station.

Just great! First I had to give up gas station sushi, now I have to give up my gas station heroin. Is there no justice in this world?

Drugs attract those who lack the skill or wherewithal to lead interesting lives.

(“gas station heroin.”)

WHAT could possibly go wrong with a product like that?

This tops Mick Jagger going to the Chelsea Drug Store to get his prescription filled, only to step out line under the medical advise of Mr. Jimmy.

You have to take many, many times the therapeutic dose for it to have the effect of morphine.

It was supposed to be an antidepressant.

Me neither.
Is it deadly, like ‘Gas Station Sushi’?

Or offer a respite from the misery of poor circumstances. Every addiction story is a little different.

Typical yellow journalism. In no way does tianeptine act like heroin. It is much more akin to Wellbutrin. In order to get euphoric effects, you need to take FAR more of it than people do, and even then it is hit-and-miss.

I ate some Peyote once out in the desert. I talked to God. I don’t want to go there again.

I love God, Jesus and the Ghost. The movies make it seem like fun.

It’s actually scary. It’s bad.

You really go into the ‘spirit world’. We are not supposed to go there.

We are in spirit warfare. Watch your children. Things are hunting them.

That’s ok, you can still have those hot dogs that have been on the rollers for 23 hours.

If people would deal with their emotional/psychological issues that contributed to their addictions, that would be a bigger help.
