After Reacher star Alan Ritchson made the claim that the police “get away with murder all the time,” the Fraternal Order of Police organization took some time to address the actor’s inflammatory comment, encouraging him to mind his own business.
“While Mr. Ritchson gets his face and forehead powdered on set, our officers are out doing a job he doesn’t have the courage to do,” the organization prefaced. “While he gets to hear loud pops and have blanks fired at him, our officers feel the heat of the bullets as they pierce their skin.”
The statement continued, “There are no take two’s or take three’s in real life Mr. Ritchson. We have people who want to kill us and we play for keeps. Just another useless Hollywood actor, virtue signaling for attention at the expense of brave police officers around this country.”
“Go back to your pampered life and let the heroes handle this,” the FOP’s statement concluded.
On Tuesday, Ritchson would take to social media to respond to the FOP’s social media post, sharing a post on Instagram in which the Reacher actor decried the organization’s comments — labelling their response as “emotionally immature.”

I was thinking of that also.
I’ve also seen cops wind up in prison due to media inciting sentiments
where officer’s actions were very much within reason.
Awesome response by FOP.
What a POS.
That dude is a horrible actor, has no personality.
This same clown also said that since DJTrump is a rapist then it is insane for any Christians to support him.
DBag.
I liked the first season of “Reacher” but will not bother with the 2nd. This is the consequence of studios letting actors use their celebrity to get access to a microphone in order to spew garbage.
Another actor idiot, they’re all over the place.
Tom Cruise was better.
Less so than in the past.
do you mean the affirmative action cop?
That’s largely true of politics, also.
Me too, but if there is a Season 3, I'll pass.
Why do these pretend hero's have too be so damn woke?
It's no wonder that I watch more Clint Eastwood DVDs than any "modern" show today, the rare exception is that I DVR, "Blue Bloods" and say 'Grace' with them at their Sunday dinners.
Using Fast Resume, I can watch an "hour" show in 38 minutes as the only commercials you can't skip are the previews of the network coming shows.
I have never heard of him or his show, and my life is no less blessed as a result.
Of course Tom Cruise is a better actor. So is Leo. However, the character of Reacher as described in all the books is someone of a much larger stature than Tom. Tom is maybe 5’ 7” 170 lbs.
Reacher is 6’ 4” and 240 lbs.
This “actor” is an idiot for making this statement. He just alienated his core group of fans that watch his show.
He has to say stuff like that to keep his job. Plus he is medicated.
What an ignorant, priviliged ass.
Nah. Arguably the biggest action star out there today is Keanu Reeves and he never talks politics left or right.
Funny, you mentioned Clint. I just re-watched American sniper this weekend and marveled at how good it was and at how impossible it would be to do a movie like that these days.
The proper response is always “I don’t know. What do you think?”. I have friends who bring up politics. Some can handle it and some cannot. If they can’t handle it, I just shut up.
I have a friend who worships abortion but she has trouble justifying it. She just knows she has to be passionate about abortion because the billboards tell her to do that. Most liberals have trouble justifying their beliefs. Abortion will never be a personal concern for her so it is mostly a virtue signal.
Alan Ritchson is correct.
I will continue to watch his shows/movies.
“Cops get away with murder all the time, and the fact that we can’t really hold them accountable for their improprieties is disturbing to me.”
“We should completely reform the way that we do it. I mean, you shouldn’t have to spend more time getting an education as a hairstylist than as a cop who’s armed with a deadly weapon,” he went on to propose. “We should make it very hard for people to make mistakes or abuse power in our institutions.”
I’m not seeing what all the hubbaloo is about???

Nope. Alan fits the role of Reacher (and I have not read any of the books), but both Tom & Alan are idiot actors who think they’re special.
