After election watchdogs have documented tens of thousands of non-citizens registering to vote in swing states and Republican strongholds alike, President Donald Trump and House Republicans have backed legislation to assure only U.S. citizens vote in national elections.

Standing alongside the 45th president at Mar-a-Lago on Friday, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-La.) announced that House Republicans will “introduce legislation that requires every single person who registers to vote in a federal election must prove [he is] an American citizen.”

And I can’t believe you’re getting so worked up about this. To the point that you are hurling insults at people who possibly think differently from you.
Kinda “smells” like panic to me.

Do you think that voting in Federal elections should be permissible only for US citizens or not?

“Are there any Conservative ideals that you think are worth pushing for, even if the chances of achieving them seem slim?”

Don’t make this about “party”. Common sense has absolutely nothing to do with “Conservative ideals” or not. This has to do with the very basic difference between intelligence, gullibility, or ignorance.

“Slim” or “possible” of course, “absolutely impossible” absolutely not. There is not even one slim chance in Gods green earth this will pass in this congress and to think so is absolutely inept and foolish. Johnson is COUNTING on this ineptness and lack of intelligence to save his butt from being removed. And as much as I love Trump, supporting such fantasy impossible goals makes him look foolish.

At some point we need to wake up to the fact they are just selling us a lie and false hope and making us look like extremely ignorant fools for even believing them.

Of course only citizens should vote period..............

But can you flap your arms and fly to the moon? Can Johnson?

Johnson is trying to tell us he can...

Do you actually believe he can?

The chances of this passing is just as fanatical as him claiming he can fly to the moon.

"I can’t believe Trump is even falling for this BS sales pitch from Johnson."

Johnson is throwing this in, trying to appease Trump for all the crap he's allowed through. It's like throwing a dog a bone to keep him busy.

“It’s like throwing a dog a bone to keep him busy.”

Yep, AND the foolish majority of us are falling for it too.

Actions speak louder than words period.

We used to, also. Everything got weird in 2020. I’m anxious to see how it’s done in November.
