They should force Halle to watch a replay of her speech everyday . I'll help to tie her down.

I'm just glad she broke down that racist barrier that was Hollywood................
Is she aware of what year this is?"
To: mseltzer
LOL. I think she thanked her lawyer three times. Her performance in that film was OKAY, but did you see the kid they cast as her "son"? Yeah, right.

Now she isn't sexy anymore.Naw, she's plenty sexy. That won't change. But for gawwwwd's sake, the crap about Dorothy Dandridge and Lena Horne and Diahann Carroll made me cringe (Let me interject at this point that I am black). She didn't open any doors, she just -- allegedly -- gave a heck of a performance.
However, I don't think that she's ever given a performance like that in her interview on ABC saying that she woke up in bed bleeding, not remembering driving away from a serious traffic accident.

You don't need to prove nuthin'. By the way, all professions give awards to those who excel. Why is it only in the arts that the recipients go emotional?

It's quota night.

Has Denzel broken another barrier now?
To: L.N. Smithee
Those women bothered you? How about her thanking Spike Lee?

Ok, so it's Black Night at the Oscars. Hey, beats the heck out of Gay Night, which lately has been at every recent award show.

What was htis about Halle Berry thanking "India?" Is that a person or she now a Hindu of some type?

You're asking the wrong guy. I think it's a cooking spice.

Is she aware of what year this is?Absolutely. Just shameless. Whoopie, Denzel, Will, Halle, Sidney all singing the same tune cause thats all they know...
To: mseltzer
It's quota night. I didn't see any of the movies, so I really can't say that. Black actors are just as capable as any other type. Poitier's no slouch. Neither is Denzel. I have never thought much of Halle Berry except in the schwing! sense -- she's never impressed me otherwise.
On the other hand, Whoopi could disappear from the face of the earth and I don't think it would be the poorer.

Nice to see Ron Howard get an Oscar. I loved Grand Theft Auto.
To: mseltzer
I'll help to tie her down.Be careful, Julia Roberts might miss Halle and plant her lips on you...I hope Sidney and Denzel get compensated for her assaults...
To: L.N. Smithee
I agree with everything you say. It's just that there have been some people saying that if Halle and Denzel don't win, they'll have to wonder if they even received fair consideration.

The Game is better. Nothing like pulling people out of their car and shooting them then speeding off in their sports car.
To: QuestionBureaucracy
I'll take my chances on that.

I'm especially glad OP has broken down the balding child actor barrier that has kept so many greats from being acknowledged...
