The GUILD 4-24-2002 If I knew.............
Posted on 04/24/2002 5:41:57 AM PDT by Hillary's Lovely Legs
IF I KNEW
If I knew it would be the last time that I'd see you fall asleep,
I would tuck you in more tightly and pray the Lord your soul to keep.
If I knew it would be the last time that I see you walk out the door,
I would give you a hug and kiss and call you back for one more.
If I knew it would be the last time I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise,
I would video tape each action and word, so I could play them back day after day.
If I knew it would be the last time, I could spare an extra minute or two,
to stop and say that "I love you," Instead of assuming that you KNOW I do.
If I knew it would be the last time I would be there to share your day,
Well, I'm sure you'll have so many more, So I can let this one slip away.
For surely there's always tomorrow to make up for an oversight,
And we always get a second chance to make everything all right
There will always be another day to say our "I love you's,"
And certainly there's another chance to say our "Anything I can do's."
But just in case I might be wrong, and today is all I get,
I'd like to say how much I love you and hope we never forget.
Tomorrow is not promised to anyone, young or old alike,
And today may be the last chance you get to hold your loved one tight.
So, if you're waiting for tomorrow, why not do it today?
For if tomorrow never comes, you'll surely regret the day,
That you didn't take that extra time for a smile, a hug, or kiss,
and you were too busy to grant someone, What turned out to be their one last wish.
So hold your loved ones close today, whisper in their ear,
Tell them how much you love them And that you'll always hold them dear.
Take the time to say "I'm sorry," "Please forgive me," "Thank you," or It's OK."
And if tomorrow never comes, you'll have no regrets about today.

Good morning

Bringing this post forward for yesterday's thread:
Good Morning everybody. It's great to be back! I spent yesterday with my attny. Things are beginning to move with my lawsuit against the woman on her cell phone who hit me while I was sitting at a stoplight waiting for the light to turn.
It's amazing what you have to go thru to obtain justice.

What'd you have to go and post that for? Now I feel like I have to spend time with my kids.

Spending time with your kids isn't so bad. You only have two of the most beautiful daughters on the planet.

At least in Iowa you have the opportunity to do something about your accident. Michigan is a no-fault state. That means if you were not at fault, you are screwed.

Good luck with this situation - I hope no injuries were sustained by either party.
Why are you having to seek counsel for what would appear to be a clear violation on the rammer's part?

Oh gee, why did you have to make me all teary and mushy so early in the morning?
On another subject, tomorrow President Bush and Crown Prince Abdullah meet in Crawford. Here's an item from the local press about one thing that might be on the Crown Prince's schedule while he is here. Valley Mills, Tx. is only 3-4 miles from Crawford. GoodMorning Guild! Spring has sprung, but you wouldn't know it out here in VA. today. The temps got down to freezing last nght. My poor veggie garden. We did cover the veggies ups yesterday, so we hope they are OK. Gotta go see. Took the dogs to the groomers yesterday. They look so cute. Also had to take hubby to the doctor. I've been pretty busy. I hope I can spend some time freeping today. I'll be back later.

Ouuuhhhhhh. So fine.
Re: Waco link, don't you just love the way Crawford and Texas respond to visits from foreign leaders?

My garden is so screwed up with the weather. Last December, my Siberian irises started coming up.
Then in February, my hydrangeas started budding.
Then, of course, we had that heat wave last week that wilted my tender impatiens, geraniums and other annuals. Now, it's freezing again.
And I'm just a recreational gardener. I feel for the farmer whose livelihood is tied up with the weather. What a challenge!

Good morning. I like to think that any SmallTown in America would do the same for guests, but we Texans are tough to beat on the hospitality front. ;-)
No animal carries itself any more proudly than an Arabian Stallion. Period. They are so beautiful.

You're welcome. If any are interested, I'll be happy to post any local Bush news that I pick up. The only little bit of gossip I can think of right now is that the entourage for the Abdullah visit is apparently so large there aren't enough rental cars in the area to handle the press, advance people and Abdullah's group. I think anybody in the Waco area who wanted to make a few quick bucks could rent out their cars for top dollar. There are several locals who rent out spare bedrooms to the press. I might do this for Brit Hume or Jim Angle if they asked!
