Can't help but wonder if this attorney had anything connection to the DMV employees who was blown up in February the day before she was scheduled to testify in the illegal immigrants drivers license case.....

MY My what a group of cynics we have here.
Just because 90% of congress is lawyers doesn't mean you shguld take out your frustration on a randomn lawyer.
I know to perfectly nice ones, except for their choice calibers for their carry weapons.
I personnally can't stand a .40 caliber weapon.

A very deliberate case of culling the profession It is a scary thing for us lawyers. My father works across the street, and I am in this parking garage all the time too. A lady that works here with me also has a father in that building. After last week's shooting of the lawyer in Texas, it's pretty un-nerving. Most lawyers are not the scum we're made out to be.

Uh...did you guys miss the fact that someone has been
murdered? This person probably had friends, family, dreams and aspirations--just like you. Does it really matter what his or her profession was?
Letting the corpse cool and the bereaved mourn before starting in on the lawyer jokes would show a bit of decorum...

What's the punchline? The Frito scenario...
sometimes one just isn't enough.

Neither are most Islamic people. One cannot help being on the coat-tails of the worst of their peers. This is a good thing. In most professions it causes them to police their own. The 10% of the lawyers out there ruin it for the other 90% who are the sleezy ones.

My niece just graduated from law school at Vanderbilt. She is a fine, intelligent, and upstanding citizen of these USA. I realise that detesting lawyers has become an icon of our society but it is a shame in so many ways. Study of the law is difficult, more so today than ever before, and although we may have too many lawyers in our society I wish that folks would take a moment to reflect on the fact that lawyers have played some crucial roles in our formation of a republic. It is unfortunate that they are also playing a crucial role in our devolution as a republic. I wish you well.

His name has now been released. He was a well respected lawyer, and the senior partner of a firm with a good reptation.

He was a well respected lawyer, and the senior partner of a firm with a good reptation. Obviously not THAT well-respected. Squeaky clean front man for an organized crime racket...?

I think I dislike because they use Glocks.
The glocks I have handled never have felt comfortable in my hand.
Still prefer John Browning designs.
