CHICAGO (Reuters) - Playing the bare market, Playboy magazine on Monday offered female employees of threatened corporate giants WorldCom and Andersen the same chance to pose nude as it did those of fallen energy trader Enron.
"As soon as our (August) 'Women of Enron' issue hit the newsstands, we started getting calls from female employees at both WorldCom and Arthur Andersen," said Gary Cole, Playboy magazine's photography director.
Cole said the callers had "read" the Enron article "and immediately began expressing their desire to pose for Playboy as well."
The magazine, owned by the Chicago-based adult media conglomerate Playboy Enterprises Inc., instructed hopefuls from embattled telecommunications leader WorldCom Inc. and the accounting firm Andersen to send in recent photos of themselves in a two-piece swimsuit and a head-and-shoulders shot -- along with proof of employment.
Last month, Andersen was convicted of obstructing justice in the government's probe of the collapse of Enron, a client of the auditor.

Can "The Women of Free Republic" be far behind?

Mercy! I'm outta here...
To: wallcrawlr
Oh darn, and to think I just quit my job with Anderson!
Maybe they'll let me pose anyway right? *VBG*

I know we have women of Free Republic that are beautiful on the outside, and inside.
Most of them are too intelligent to shed their clothes (and morals) for 10 minutes of fame and $20,000.

What about the Freeper guys doing a Playgirl calendar? ;)

Well, we see a number of Freepers rejecting the idea that we could be in a moral sewer in Clinton Age America, so why not? Either they're too young to know the culture wasn't always this way, or they're simply stupid.

LOL! I think FR will be around for quite a while. JR et al won't let this

ship go down! Not due to lack of ethics on managements part anyway!
And we're over the WP/LAT hump too!
To: Victoria Delsoul
Good idea! LOL!
To: Sabertooth
I'd do it.

Honey, if you look good enough, Playboy wouldn't care if one day you just walked past Anderson's headquarters.

I'm the one in the middle.

To the WorldCom and Andersen gals- I say go for it. Take advantage of your youth and beauty. Just let me know when the publication comes out.
To: rintense
I'd do it.
Well, you've got the eyes for it...

But I'll need more than this if you want me to talk to Hef.
