AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 547) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | July 21, 2002 | All of Us

Posted on 07/21/2002 5:15:17 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter and we will not fail! [President Bush]

Good Morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

A couple from the northeastern United States is working with American fertility expert Dr. Panos Zavos to have the world's first cloned baby.

Hundreds of people gathered in New York to discuss plans for what to do with the WTC site. Plans are to be narrowed to three next month, and the final one chosen in December.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

definately sleeping better ...

Oh! This is good!!
I went through a period of time where I was not sleeping well, if at all. 'Tis amazing what long periods without sleep will do to you ... takes all the *sparkles* out of you.

But ... wait! I thought you loved the heat?! I thought you nearly glory in it?!

*wink*

Illstillbe, I have a question. Do you think a peony bush that a too-helpful husband CUT DOWN will appear next year? (He thought it was a weed. Sigh.) It has been cut off at ground level, nary a leaf left.

Good day, I am having problems. I look at a profile of someone who posts, then I see where they have been posting, then I look there at someone else`s post and then I look at their profile then I see where they have posted then I look there then I look the profiles of someone else who has posted there and then I forgot to answer the post that came to me and I can`t find my way out of the endless loop. I think that it might be part of some conspiracy to keep me from writing 5 star reviews on Amazon for all the conservative books that I can find. On the other hand, I could be dreaming....

I am back.

"No. I am not interested in the cleaning solution you are showing me."
"Well, yes. I do clean and am quite content with the products I have used for years."
"I am making every effort to be polite ... I can apply the same effort in the reverse if you do not trust me when I tell you I am not interested..."

flabs my gasts, as jtill would say ....

nary a leaf left ...

BWAK! I do not think this is good, Miss Marple. Is this a herbaceous peony?! By this I mean ... are the stems green and supple ... not woody?! If so ... it may survive .. as these peonies are normally cut to the ground in early Fall ... but I am not optimistic ... and there really is nothing you can do .. and do not even think to fertilize it ...

Still you mention .. nary a leaf ... so there is hope ... mulch heavily ... and keep your fingers crossed.

The dew point...........that little number that tells you exactly how miserable you are.............is 78. Ick.

HAR!

I imagine you are completely bored by my profile!!! 'Tis nearly a blank page ... I've no clue why I never do anything to spruce it up a bit.

Must be the last vestiges of a rather whimsically rebellious childhood. *grin*

My flabs were gasted today, jtill ~~~ which, of course, reminded me of you.

Hoping there's sand between your toes, even as I type this.

I didn`t even tell you about the problem that I have with the links that are on some of the profiles. I go to some of them and I find myself in a good old fashioned web surf. I certainly feel as if I have fallen through the rabbit hole. Here is one deceptively titled web page........http://www.taxmemore.us/

Yes, the herbaceous variety. I actually cried, as I had had that peony since we moved in. Then I felt bad because I got upset over a plant, and hurt my husband's feelings, because he really was trying to help. What a day.

He is now napping, and I have made fresh green beans and new potatoes in the crock pot as a peace offering.

I sometimes get too attached to plants, methinks.

Well, I will keep my fingers crossed. The astillbe that he sprayed with weed killer last year came back. Maybe this plant will as well.

A glimmer of hope...My Dad used to run the lawnmower over one patch of Mom's peonies every year. They were gluttons for punishment, for they came back again and again. These were old, well established plants. He did the same thing to some irises, regularly, and they also lived. (He had no respect for posies in the path of the mower!)

Over on the Sunday talk show thread there is a hilarious graphic. See post # 12...maybe you can save it. Might come in handy some day.

Well, I am going to mark this area (now bare) and keep an eye out next year. Maybe since we had all the rain early in the season the plant will fight back.

Going to the talk show thread. Thanks for the info.
