Winning Women: Leadership For The New Century
“Winning Women: Leadership for the New Century” is an initiative of the Republican National Committee to work with and for women. “Winning Women” is an attempt to build on our outreach efforts and win increased support from our nation’s women. We have an opportunity, much like that in 1980, where we are able as the governing party to work with and for women. President Bush's compassionate conservative message earned him the unprecedented support of 43% of the women who voted in 2000. This is good, but we can do better. Ann Wagner, Co-Chairman of the Republican National Committee (RNC), developed the Winning Women program in order to mainstream women into Republican Party politics. Winning Women has four components: Communication, Leadership Training, Grassroots Development and the Winning Women web site. Communication: If women voted the way they lived, they’d vote Republican. Through Winning Women, the RNC will utilize Republican Women leaders to communicate our message. It is vital that women know the Republican Party offers them the best hope for a secure and stable future for women and their families. Since July 2001, Ann Wagner has traveled to many areas of the United States communicating the Republican message through Winning Women. Co-Chairman Wagner participated in a women’s panel for the California State Party convention. She joined RNC Communications Director Mindy Tucker and local women leaders in bringing the national and local Republican message to California women. Co-Chairman Wagner has also visited Arizona, Georgia, New York, New Jersey, Washington, Florida and North Carolina, New Mexico, Alaska, among many others. Leadership Training: The RNC is committed to increasing the number of Republican women in elected and appointed political and governmental positions at the local, state and federal levels. Winning Women has teamed up with the very successful Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series to provide leadership training for women in each state. Since its inception in 1989, the Excellence in Public Service Series has been replicated in Illinois, New Jersey, Ohio and Pennsylvania. The Lugar Series, the Lincoln Series, the Whitman Series, the Davidson Series, the Anstine Series and any developing program, have the support of the RNC through Winning Women. At the state level, various key Republican organizations assist in the development and support of these programs. Grassroots Development: At the RNC, we’ve been signing up Team Leaders – and, in particular, Women Team Leaders – by the thousands, and it’s making a difference. Team leaders have access to all the unfiltered information concerning President Bush’s positive agenda for America and what needs to be done to keep making progress. We’re turning these team leaders into a grassroots army – foot soldiers – who are helping us spread the Republican message of hope, promise and opportunity across the country. Our Team Leaders write letters to the editor, they call in to local radio talk shows to spread the word, and they distribute the information we give them to their own network of friends, neighbors and co-workers. RNC Political Director Blaise Hazelwood, working with the Bush national leadership team, developed the Team Leader program. Blaise and her political team are spreading the Republican message and making a difference in communities across the nation. The RNC has enlisted the help of the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) in this grassroots effort. The NFRW has a long history of recruiting women leaders across the country and the RNC is proud to join with them in this effort. Our Team Leaders are deeply involved in creating victory. You can become a Team Leader by visiting our web site at www.gopteamleader.com. Sign up today! Web Site: The Winning Women web site integrates the latest technology with up-to-date GOP information. Women are provided with the latest news, activities and initiatives concerning our party. They are informed about recent legislative issues, can voice their opinion through the Vote Center and even e-mail their representatives in the United States Congress. Through the Winning Women web site, women can sign up to be leaders in the Republican Party by joining the Team Leader program. For those who simply wish to be informed of the latest activities, women can sign up to become a Winning Woman. Also provided are resources and links to many women’s organizations. With a new generation of leaders and Republican women filling historic and significant roles in the Bush Administration, the RNC is making a renewed effort to win the hearts, minds, and votes of women. For more information on how to get involved with the Winning Women program, please contact the Republican National Committee. Oh please! Al Gore run! I want to see that again. What fun we'll have. "He was robbed, and that's a fact," Terry McAuliffe said Sunday.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is shown in Beverly Hills, Calif., in this Jan. 25, 2002 file photo. Schwarzenegger is putting his financial muscle behind a California ballot measure to fund after-school and early morning programs. The November initiative has received $3.6 million so far, Sunday, Aug. 11, 2002, with the actor kicking in $1 million, new campaign finance reports show. The measure, Proposition 49, is widely viewed as a way for Schwarzenegger to establish his policy credentials and to provide a prelude to his eventually seeking public office.

Designing Women Dialogue:
A middle-aged swinger approaches the ladies in a sushi bar:
MAN: Allow me to introduce myself -- Ray Don Simpson.
JULIA: There's no need for introductions, Ray Don, we know who you are.
RAY DON: (smiling) You do?
JULIA: Of course. You're the guy who is always wherever women gather or try to be alone. You want to eat with us when we're dining in hotels, you want to know if the book we're reading is any good, or if you can keep up company on the plane. And I want to thank you, Ray Don, on behalf of all the women in the world, for your unfailing attention and concern. But read my lips and remember, as hard as it is to believe, sometimes we like talking just to each other, and sometimes we like just being alone.

I heard that Meathead got Cali to impose a fifty-cents/pack tax on ciggies for "free" all day, day-care for 3 & 4 year olds.
If Arnold's crap gets passed, will the kids need parents at all?

What's the average length of a Lisa Presley marriage or "relationship"? What's the average length of a Nick Cage marriage or relationship? Add them together, divide by two, and there you have it (probably about two years, but I'm just guessing).

It's the same old thing, JL - dimwitted people who believe it everything is the responsibility of government, from daycare to steelworkers' pensions, from prescription drugs to airline bailouts. We may as well get used to seeing half our income given to the parasites of this world.

Hi, Dog, nice to see you.
More news you can't use:
Famous celebrities like Madonna, Carlos Santana, Sting and even Chelsea Clinton are known to be avid yoga practitioners. source.
We also have heard Chelsea is an expert on the Koran, giving out copies wheree'er she goes. How doggone ecumenical of her, that sushi-eatin', Koran-readin', yoga-practicing little sweetie! I'm looking forward to her second year in Oxford, hoping it's not too, too intellectually strenuous.

Hey Doggie, how the heck are you? I'm so happy to see you here. You are always welcomed here. I do so enjoy your company.
Lodwick, mountaineer, Yes Meathead is still at it with regards to ciggarette taxes and all. I heard the new Mayor of New York is trying outlaw smoking in all New York restrants. Yikes!
I don't know about those government runned day cares. Any time the federal government can get their hands on your children is scarey to me.

Oh gosh, I don't know? I'm not looking, LOL. I've heard these woman talk about their first book. They say, women should play hard to get and quit acting like "You know whats" when it comes to looking for men. The women's Lib gang don't like these women, but I think they make sense. The libs says it's old fashion to act like a lady when looking for Mr. Right.
As for, on line dating. Gee, I don't know. Somehow, I'm not sold on, on-line dating and marriage. How about you?

Actor Jason Priestley's race car crashed head-on into a wall at nearly 180 mph Sunday at the Kentucky Speedway, breaking his back and leaving him in serious condition with a concussion and other injuries. I know!!!! I heard this on the news. Poor guy. I hope he recovers. I never saw his program, but I guess some Hollywood types like to race cars and such.
