Posted on 09/23/2002 8:54:20 AM PDT by Hillary's Lovely Legs
In case you missed last night Emmy's thread, it was fabulous. Well the Emmy's were boring but the thread was great. Unfortunately, 2/3 of the way through, the moderators decided that the Emmy's weren't news and shoved the thread into the Cheesehole.
Since you all couldn't have possibly have heard anything about the Emmy's today in the newspaper or television, we will bring you some of the highlights.

Jennifer Aniston won her award while wearing a white G string. Oh yes, there was a dress over it.

I wish she would have put up her hair or something. I don't like that look at all.

Oprah, in a gown engineered by the same folks who built the Hoover Dam, wins the Humanitarian Award. She was very impressed with her humbleness which she mentioned over and over and over. She obviously stopped by the dollar store to pick up a yellow watch to match her gown, and then shoved a plumber's butt down the front of her dress.

Stockard Channing has decided to use the same hairstylist as Emo Phillips.

Conservative Republican Actress Patrica Heaton of ' Everybody Loves Raymond' forgets to button the top of her dress. Bless her heart.

If someone would like to explain to me why Joan Allen, a fabulous actress near fifty, would wear mermaid hair and go braless, please feel free.

So, are we to conclude that if it has nothing to do with government, politics or Barbie it's not worthy of a live thread in the News catagory?
I really wish someone would give us a definitive answer, preferably BEFORE the Oscars.
Vandals Strike Jewish Symbol in Colo.BOULDER, Colo. Sept. 22 Swastikas were drawn on a temporary wooden shelter built on the University of Colorado campus to celebrate the Jewish harvest festival of Sukkot. [snip]
A police officer said the crime was classified as defacing property. "The swastikas looked like they were written in ball point pen and can be easily removed with sandpaper," policeman Ronnie Schwartz said. [snip]
Well golly, if this had been gay bashing would sandpaper be the remedy? No wonder many in this nation think Saddam is a waste of time. How very short sighted of them.
