The Guild 9-26-2002 Day FOUR -- Emmy Thread Held Hostage

Posted on 09/26/2002 4:56:57 AM PDT by BigWaveBetty

Let's compare the leaders of the Republican Party to the leaders in the Dem party.

Republican Learders

Rat Leaders

Whoever came up with the saying "a picture is worth a thousand words" knew what they were talking about.

Holding tough. We demand the Emmy Thread and the others to follow be released from the Cheese Hole!

These threads are not every day occurrences. They come along once a year each. The Emmy's, the Oscars, Miss America, Miss Universe, Miss USA.

We don't think it's asking too much.

Yep....ethical adults with strong character vs unethical intemperate petulant children with questionable character. I don't understand how anyone would want to be associated with the lying, cheating scum of the D party....Clinton/Kennedy/Condit/Torrecelli and so on and so on.....

I've noticed that the Democrats have a penchant for exaggerated hand gestures. Rather like Mussolini.

Hello all.

I guess there's a black sheep in every family. :-(

From Cindy Adams:

SPLITSVILLE FOR NEIL & SHARON BUSH

LAST WEEK, a report out of Houston stated that Neil Bush, younger brother of the president of the United States of America, and Neil's wife, Sharon, are divorcing. It did not state a third party was involved. It could have.

The facts:
* The third party in this divorce action is a woman.
* She is from Texas.
* Rumor is she and Neil know one another for years.
* Friends say the liaison was suspected a while back.
* The woman is also filing for divorce.
* The Bushes have sought marital help.
* Sharon Bush is devastated.
* Reports are they hope for a reconciliation.
* As I write this there is still no reconciliation.
* Mr. Bush is no longer living home.
[snip]

I hope this other woman story isn't true and Neil and Sharon will work things out.

An astute observation, Ivan. Just as the Hildebeeste emulates Evita, so it seems Tiny Tommy Daschle, et al., ape their ideological role models, the fascists. Meanwhile, their fellow national socialist, x42, continues his African adventure:

KIGALI (Reuters) - Former President Bill Clinton visited Rwanda on Wednesday, part of a tour around Africa to promote efforts to fight HIV/AIDS. After meeting with the Kigali government, Clinton said he had agreed to try -- via his Clinton Foundation -- to help Rwanda get hold of cheaper anti-retrovirals, by negotiating with drug companies in the West.

"I volunteered to do this because Rwanda has a 22 percent infection rate and you need to turn it round now," he told reporters at the airport.

"You can't afford to let it go further, like in Botswana or South Africa...I think your country has very good economic progress, good government and is moving in the right direction. It is very important to stop this AIDS thing now and I hope I can help." story

If he'd just keep it zipped, he'd probably reduce the spread of at least a few STDs.

Well, "Honey Pie" (he said, believing he used that Southern-ism correctly), those weren't fingers. They were tentacles.

He wants the reporters to end the AIDS crisis? (and they make fun of GWB!)

An astute observation, Ivan. Just as the Hildebeeste emulates Evita, so it seems Tiny Tommy Daschle, et al., ape their ideological role models, the fascists.

They are in bed with some large corporations, and corporations that don't give the appropriate bribes and deference get persecuted by the Democrats. Sounds like Mussolini's "Corporate State". I should dig up some of Mussolini's work on this and run a comparison.

Meanwhile, their fellow national socialist, x42, continues his African adventure:

Look on the bright side, at least he isn't at home causing trouble and teenaged daughters can go out with a touch more safety.

The Clinton Foundation? Isn't that a rather grandiose name for a pornography archive?

"I volunteered to do this because Rwanda has a 22 percent infection rate and you need to turn it round now," he told reporters at the airport.

Bill must think he is the Messiah. The poor natives don't realise the man is a walking Petrie dish; it could be a worse massacre since the Indians got smallpox infected blankets.

"You can't afford to let it go further, like in Botswana or South Africa...I think your country has very good economic progress, good government and is moving in the right direction. It is very important to stop this AIDS thing now and I hope I can help." story

He could help by going home, shutting up and taking a vow of silence. But that doesn't appeal to a publicity hound like him - he has to have the camera, the flicker of flashbulbs, the ability to bite his lip and issue forth a comment to the nodding head dolls of the slavish media. The worst thing we can do to him is to ignore him. The process is beginning, but I feel confident we can get him to drooling madness by continuing to remind him of his irrelevance.

Best Regards, Ivan

Sen. John "Fitzgerald" Heinz Kerry, seen yesterday cozying up to John McCain, weighs in on TRAG/BGA (aka Al Gore):

Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) slipped in an early jab at potential campaign rival Al Gore yesterday. At a breakfast with reporters in Washington, he was asked if he thought the man who lost to George W. Bush would run again. "I just don't have a clue," said Kerry. "Somebody told me the other day that the Republicans are concerned that he won't run."

Kerry quickly adopted a less snarky tone when pressed on why Republicans would say that. "I don't know," said Kerry. "Somebody in the Republican Party said that to me. I think Al Gore is a very smart, very capable person. And he fought hard to the best of his capacity in the last race and bowed out with great grace.

"He certainly has the right to decide that he wants to make another run at it," Kerry went on. "But I think I have a right, as others do, to decide that maybe [Democrats] have something else to offer."

Gore spokesman Jano Cabrera responded that the ex-veep hasn't decided whether to run, but "I wholeheartedly agree with Sen. Kerry that Al Gore is a very smart and capable person." NY Daily News

MOVE over, Paris and Nicky Hilton: a new batch of blood-linked hotties has emerged to capture the eyes of the international fashion crowd.

"More than any of the other leggy young scions coming down the pike, Amanda and Lydia are perfectly positioned to be the next big thing . . . or the next big Hilton sisters, as the case may be," said Vanity Fair's society editor, Kristina Stewart.

"They're both shockingly pretty, they come from serious money on their mothers' side, and they've actually been raised in disciplined home environments," Stewart marveled.

Whoa Nellie!! Kristina needs an eye exam!

In other news, Christopher Hitchens to quit The Nation, Snakehead Carville is becoming a Hollyweird producer, and two more "celebrities" try to push their agendas on Capitol Hill ( WashPost):

Cause Celebs Lisa Marie Presley and Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, have been traipsing the halls of the Congress lobbying for their respective pet projects. Presley, a Scientologist and mother of two -- whose brand-new, third husband is actor Nicolas Cage -- will be testifying today before Indiana Republican Rep. Dan Burton's House Government Reform Committee on the evils of hyperactivity medication for children.

Weight Watchers spokeswoman Fergie has been buttonholing everyone from Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) to Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) on legislation to combat obesity.

I strongly oppose the overuse of Ritalin, too, but - unlike Presley - I wouldn't substitute it with some phony baloney cult/scam like Scientology. Sheesh. And federal legislation on obesity? Welcome to Bizarro World.
