G'morning Chair & Troops. There's an "outside the beltway" fella sniffing around Iowa. Details:

Associates of retired general make Iowa caucus contacts
By THOMAS BEAUMONT
Register Staff Writer
12/19/2002

In a race now wide open with the departure of former Vice President Al Gore, retired Gen. Wesley Clark has made some preliminary steps toward an Iowa caucus bid.

Associates of Clark, the former NATO supreme commander who appears frequently as a commentator on CNN, have been calling Iowa Democrats with campaign experience to set up meetings and make contacts with influential party insiders.

Clark, who could offer the Democrats a fresh face and a credible voice on the issues of war and terrorism, said Wednesday the contacts were not about gauging his potential as a presidential candidate in the state that kicks off the race for the White House.

"It's not surprising that people are talking to me about this," Clark, 57, said in an interview with The Des Moines Register. "But in terms of considering it or working it or intent, the answer is 'no.' What I'm doing is I'm speaking out, hoping to get engaged in a dialogue to encourage Americans to look at their world and their role in it."

There are signs, however, that lead political insiders to suspect Clark may be giving more thought to running than he lets on:

My apologies for not implementing all the tips I requested and received yesterday. It's hard to teach old (female) dogs new tricks :-)

Yes, he is scum, and I can't think of a better way to describe him and stay in the rules of the forum.

I am dead certain this is a plan hatched by scum and scumette, and I hope the hammer comes down on him soon.

Good Morning Chair!

Back after a few days of R & R and ready to tackle another day!

You know, I think the RATs have overplayed their hand on Lott. They may get just what they've been harping on, a new majority leader. What they don't want however is a new majority leader, they wanted a damaged, weakened Lott, who they could then "blackmail" into following their liberal agenda (even more than usual). They now face the possibility of the Republicans electing a new Majority leader who will be more than capable and happy to smack these liberal pukes around.

And as for trying to "force" Lott out of the Senate completly in the hopes our RAT Gov could put a RAT in his place....they don't want to tread that road either, because then all of their dirty laundry will start getting more airing than it has presently (at least it will on those very few reputable news outlets), so I really don't see that happening. Look at some of the folks coming to Lotts defense, i.e. jessie "extortion" jackson for one thinks Lott has apologized and should not step down (wink, wink)

The RATs should be careful what they ask and whine for...they might just get it - and then they'll have a reason to whine!!!

Good morning everyone. The Drug Czar Moron Walters was just on a local morning program(WWL-TV), unfortunately I didn't catch any of his brillance.

Bush is still considering declaring Iraq in material breech.

Trent Lott says he will not resign as Senate Majority Leader and he lashed out at the President for leaking damaging information. This comes as RINO Senator Chaffee calls for Lott's resignation.

Here in the New Orleans area, former KKK leader David Duke plead guilty to tax evasion. He recieved a 15 month prison sentance and a $10,000 fine.

I am a newbie from Louisiana. A ping list I run is called the Western Civilization Military History ping list. I'm also a member of the FR Reading Club. I support closing the borders, oppose the War On Drugs, support the Second Amendment, oppose the Welfare state, very skeptical of Islam. Because of my ping list, I recieved membership in the Freeper Foxhole. I'm in the HOLD MUH BEER, WOD, IMMIGRATION, CANADA, EUROPE ping lists among others. On December 7, I was hanging out on the Louisiana election threads as we let the rest of the nation down by sending Comrade Landrieu back to the Senate.

BTW: I'm no Bushbot, but I'm very proud of President Bush's leadership in the war and for restoring honor and dignity to the White House.

I would be interested in your thoughts as to why you are opposed to the War on Drugs.

For mostly Constitutional reasons. I believe the Federal WOD is a violation of the Tenth Amendment taking away the states' rights to decide their drug policies. Also, our Fourth Amendment rights have been too compromised in this war. Also, I believe we need to take the profit out of dealing drugs and all the WOD has done is make drugs extremely profitable on the black market.
