The Hobbit Hole IV – The Road Goes Ever On…
Posted on 08/04/2003 9:43:18 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
The Road Goes Ever On
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

We've all been watching the Smooch Moot for clues as well. Ecurbh appears to be "lost". Enjoying shoveling horse poo and all.

Sweet Baby James was excellent.... had a great time today! and tonight at the concert.... we are just now home.
This morning we were at Mount St. Helens... Even after 20 years it is still a pretty incredible sight. Much has been replanted and is growing again.... but up close to it still looks like moonscape.
The obligatory pic of people smilin' in front of scenic attraction.
The Weyerhauser land (upper elevations anyway) were replanted predominantly with Noble Fir rather thanh Douglas.... which makes for an interesting 'looking' forest I think....

Hey Corin! Nice to see you around! I bet I beat you in the post counts this time, though ;-)
See you later, in the evening. It looks like a dark and dreary day today. I'm still achin' and the day's gonna be a long one... sigh...

Always nice to see you, so cheerful, every morning. This morning, it's all about "maximum false enthusiasm". Grin like you mean it. >:)

Then she tried to get me to start reading Sayer's Wimsey books, but I never started. They're good - another series that has its humorous moments as well as good mysteries. Lord Peter is another great character - he's often rather undignified and unconventional (to the great chagrin of his brother and the secret delight of his mother), and is a connoisseur of great wines and old books, which adds to his charm. They're a lot of fun!
