The Hobbit Hole IV – The Road Goes Ever On…
Posted on 08/04/2003 9:43:18 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
The Road Goes Ever On
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Apparently not enough. Our varmints have the trees cleaned out before the nuts even ripen.

I weren't talkin' at y'all... Yeah, but you know we're a couple of eavesdroppers. We've been droppin' your eaves.

I spoke with my dad last night. He told me about the SUPER DANGEROUS WEAPON the TSA screener confiscated when he left here thru DFW. He mentioned that everyone who heard about it busted out laughing.
While visiting, dad wanted to collect some bugs here. Consequently, he had a bug net with him. To replace to the net itself, he uses a 5/32" allen wrench to work on the handle. The screener confiscated the allen wrench. It was smaller than a car key. Meanwhile the pen and pencil in his pocket were perfectly acceptable to carry aboard. Embicile.

What I hate worse than anything is that it's heck walking out the back door with all the broken hulls lying all over the place. Hurt my feet they do!
Guess I'm gonna have to pick myself up a pellet gun. My dad had given that one to us because we can't exactly shoot 'em with anything else here in town. But, when he gives you somethin' -- it don't always last. He said he only wanted it back for a coupla weeks.... but, he seems to have forgot.

Hey Suzi, sorry I didn't see your question before now. The Bean pic was at 24142. I hope everyone's weekend was as restful as mine.

OMG! I guess that means I will have to remove my wrenches from my purse when I fly. Though I really can't see using them as a weapons. I knew I was going to have to do knife removal.... but wrenches!

What gets me is all the false security the ignorant public has. Nearly every person on a plane has a set of keys. They would make awesome weapons.

Mornin' MBY!
Glad you had a restful weekend. You may need the rest for next weekend!
I got to see 3 of my closest friends this weekend in Dallas! One of 'em was up from Corpus and the other 2 from San Antonio. It was a REAL TREAT!
I've now been requested to spend a night in San Antonio after I leave your house. They miss me. :-)
