The Hobbit Hole IV – The Road Goes Ever On…
Posted on 08/04/2003 9:43:18 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
The Road Goes Ever On
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

It needs 12 disks to do it and I don't have them! Gotta go to Walmart!

While we're talking about the great outdoors, I got the following from an email friend. The question is, "would you still enlist in the military if you knew what kind of combat deployment you faced?" Then it showed, in order, Marine, Army, Navy, and Air Force deployments.
Marines
Army
Navy
Air Force

LOL.... that sure says a lot doesn't it? Think the Air Force is getting a lot of recruiting today from that one?

I should have been Air Force...That Army mudhole looks awfully familiar to me, too. Actually, it looks awfully like last spring's opening dressage show at the Ingham County fairgrounds, too.

Looked ALOT like Fort Sill's field training exercise area..
At least it isn't red clay that turned brick hard after digging into it..
*sigh*
Shoulda been Air Force...

Woot! I was number 5!
Thanks for posting these, Bear.
Ugh, what a day. It was cold! Down near 50 most of the day, and colder in the wind. Got to school and realized a. there's a test on Wednesday and I haven't studied b. there are readings due for liberal class Wed and I forgot to do them c. there's an assignment due to be turned in and I have to burn the cd d. there's a test in another class Thursday that I get to take online, between the hours of whenever I get done with work and midnight. And I haven't studied.
In between, I have two full days of work, choir practice tomorrow night, class all Wednesday.... and when I get to second half of work, I lose the first hour's work to a database glitch. ARGH! I am now going to read feminist essays. Someone hand me some chocolate now.
Sorry about the venting...

I don't actually know if this is the kind of thing you'd know.
However, an advertising program masquerading as a search engine has invaded my office computer. It appears every time I boot up, and if I should go to the Web, the thing occupies the entire screen. I can only get rid of it by pushing alt ctrl delete.
I can't figure out where it's hiding, or even what it's name is, so I can't figure out how to get rid of it.

T'was a good day today, for a change. Actually got some s#!* accomplished. Finally moved the ball forward a few yards. I'm redesigning my group, and I think I might actually be able to make things better, not merely different.
