I have an excuse for 92 era thinness. I was still in some recovery from breaking my neck in December of 90. Morphine made me puke my guts out regularly. Even some of the subsequent medications had some of that affect. So, I lost a lot in that recovery. Not to mention just freakin' hurting all the time even with meds.
I got down to my old modeling weight and size for 3 or 4 years. Got a part-time job doing show modeling for a millenary place so I was inspired to keep that size for a long time. Now, I'm just normal. Which ain't freakin' model size.

PBS had two 911 shows on this evening. The first "Why the Towers Fell" was interesting from a professional standpoint. I watched the interviews with the structural engineer who designed them. Poor guy looks liked he will be haunted forever.
The chilling part was the sound. I had not seen any of the impact or collapse footage with sound before. OMG, I was choked up.
Austin saw the impact footage and asked about it. He understood before asking, that something bad had happened. Bright kid.

I don't recall hearing the sound before either. I don't know if I want to.
I am still waiting for the Nyquil to kick in. waiting... waiting....

I am still waiting for the Nyquil to kick in. waiting... waiting.... I've found a slug of wine with some Vicadin works wonders. Waking up after 15 hours is hard.

Thanks Bentfeather. Beautiful as always. I liked the "red" one the other day a whole lot but think I forgot to tell you.

I don't recall hearing the sound before either. I don't know if I want to. It's chilling. You hear each floor smacking into the one below. It just keeps going.
With the impact footage, you hear the jets scream by overhead, then a giant smack.
I'm not nearly as pissed off as I was that day. I am far from calm however.

For me it's just hard to come straight home from work and fall asleep. I have to unwind and relax for a couple of hours.
I think I'm going to have to do something else about the student with the crush. He is in both my morning and evening classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Today, the morning class had an assignment they were finishing from last week. I felt like crap anyway so just sat at my desk talking to y'all mostly. Almost everytime I looked up he was sitting there staring at me. He was there for an hour after the last other student left. But, class time wasn't over yet so I couldn't leave. He wanted me to stay through the afternoon to help him. I told him I would ask around for another student to do tutor him. He wants me to do it. Then, tonight was mostly lecture. Same thing. Stares at me. VERY UNNERVING. specially when I don't feel like dealing with him.

On the lighter side, you could whip out your butterfly knife and start cleaning under your fingernails, while looking right at him. Have you got any big burly biker friends nearby?
To: Wneighbor
Thank you Wneighbor. :-)
To: Prof Engineer
Have you got any big burly biker friends nearby? The ones that would be best suited to that type of stuff are mostly in Waco, San Antonio and Houston. They would come if I called. But, there would probably be blood spilled. Don't know how well that would work for my job.

Don't know how well that would work for my job. Would help career longevity. What about a guy friend to pose as your other half? Make the kid think you're attached.

Here I am with some of my pals! These are the March Babies! We were all divided up by month of birth.
I sometimes feel a little like an oddball around the homeschooling ladies, but as time goes by I find they like me anyway! They seem to find some redeeming quality in me! LOL
I got 35 orders for my pictoral directory I'm making up...WOW!

My guy friends that I would ask to do that are mostly those bikers! LOL. Well, there are a couple who would not mangle the guy. But, I ain't askin' 'em to drive 200 miles for this. I will feel better soon and be back to normal. There is no need of worry. I have the one student now who stays to help me lock up. It's just creepy having somebody leering at you that much.

Yep!
I had such a good time tonight, sis! Just the boost I needed! I guess that's why it's a "support group"!
And the president's wife OK'ed my idea to start a 4H club under the auspices of the group...it won't just be our group of ladies, but all this whole area...see the map here...the colored areas...:
