Follow-Up: Cindy Sheehan Writes She Often Thinks About Killing President Bush (Book Excerpt)
Wednesday, September 13, 2006 | Kristinn

Posted on 09/13/2006 10:11:41 AM PDT by kristinn

Last week, Radar Online published a quickie review of Cindy Sheehan's new book, Peace Mom, that featured a mention of Sheehan's fantasies of going back in time and killing an infant George W. Bush.

After the story was posted on FR, it was picked up by Drudge, Hot Air, Rush Limbaugh and Fox News--and went no further. The mainstream media, which vigorously promoted Sheehan last year as the woman who simply wanted to meet President Bush to ask him, "For what noble cause did my son Casey die in Iraq?" has failed to report on Sheehan's desire to kill President Bush.

I bought a copy of Sheehan's book at a D.C. bookstore where she is scheduled to do a booksigning in two weeks. Here is the text of Cindy Sheehan's thoughts on killing George Bush:

Page 29: I often contemplate the "baby Hitler scenario" when I think of George Bush. It's the time-machine fantasy. If I had a time-machine (it always looks like H.G. Wells's invention), and if I rode in it back to the time George Bush was a baby, could I kill him and save my son's life and the life of so many other people.? I always come to the same conclusion: No, I couldn't kill anyone, not even a monster.

Medea "Squeaky Fromme" Benjamin

That's funny, Manson groupie look alike Medea isn't wearing her, "What Would Charlie Do?" button...

While under the wing of Code Pink, Sue Niederer had fantasies of shooting the President in the "groined area" over and over again. Now Cindy Sheehan, with Code Pink's Tiffany Burns as her spokesperson, has a recurring fantasy of doing harm to the President.

I wonder what part Medea Benjamin authoring three books on the Cuban Revolution and contributing a chapter on Marxist Zapatista leader Subcommandante Marcos plays in these matters?

When Niederer's violent fantasies became bad publicity, Code Pink dropped her like a hot rock. I fear Sheehan will harm herself when Code Pink unceremoniously dumps her after she's outlived her usefulness to the "revolution".

So is this morbid fantasy of hers supposed to prompt sympathy from the reader? You know, "oh, what pain she must be in to think such things."

I would have (did have) sympathy for Cindy Sheehan as I would any parent who has lost a child -- in a war or in any other circumstances. That has to be devastating. I think of my own sons and I can't even imagine it. But Cindy has turned this grieving "peace mom" thing into a pretty sweet gig and, while I still honor her son's sacrifice, I don't give a damn anymore about how Cindy feels about it.

If she's gone off the edge, then there comes a point at which she is not completely responsible for her actions and words, and those whose cause she serves would do her a big favor by acting as human beings and helping Cindy to quietly fade away. Fat chance of that, right?

It's so Democrat though -- she's not woman enough to think about killing him as a man, but she's got no trouble killing a helpless baby.

Following President Kennedy's assassination, liberals charged his conservative critics with having created a "climate of hate" that bred violence and made the deed possible. Yet Kennedy's most severe critics produced nothing remotely comparable to the hate-filled invective of the Bush haters.

It would be really funny if Peace Mother Sheehan (PMS) actually did travel through time, and was immediately eaten by a Morlock.

Or Karl Rove could run over her in a suspicious Delorean.

Totally agree. I'll bet her "cause" was Casey, Casey's welfare, maybe to support Casey, and Casey, Casey, Casey. So when the poor lad died, she didn't have anything to cling to (I'm guessing the marriage wasn't too hot at that point anyway). Now she's found something new to cling to, she's all wrapped up in it. In other words, she's a nutcase.

Its just like the movie "The Time Machine" by Dreamworks. (http://timemachine.countingdown.com/#) The poor invetor wants to go back in time to save his fiancee from being shot to death by a mugger. He succeeds in doing so, only to have her ran over by a horse and buggy. It is then when he relizes that no matter how many times he can go back in time he can never save her. Everyone has there time to leave this world.

So my compliments to you for bringing this point up. She could have shot and killed anyboby, but that doesn't mean Casey would be alive. If he didn't join the Army who's to say that he wouldn't have died in something like a car accident. Some people are honored because they lived a noble life. Some people are honored because they died a noble death. Casey falls into both these categories.

Unfortunately, the Feds won't touch her. Wouldn't be politically correct.

IMHO, Cindy is but one of a whole bunch of RATS that should be charged with various crimes: treason, sedition, threats against the POTUS, etc.

Should happen, but won't happen. Which sure sends the correct signal, right?

There are few publishable words to describe the likes of that alleged woman.

How ironic. I often fantasize a GOP tour bus hitting that true americ*nt patriot, then backin' up over her again just to be sure the job got done.

It would be really funny if Peace Mother Sheehan (PMS) actually did travel through time, and was immediately eaten by a Morlock.

If, as in similar stories, the time-traveler has to go sans clothing, the Morlock might just lose its appetite.

Or Karl Rove could run over her in a suspicious Delorean.

Heh. I'll bet the Karl Rove Weather Machine runs on a Mr. Fusion, too. :-)

I was also thinking that it'd be quite likely that Cindy would be caught by Barbara Bush and summarily dispatched right next to the infant GWB's crib. Ironically, that would result in Casey never enjoying life at all.

Cindy's ex-husband would've fared better, though. Hey, if she wants to play "What if...", we can be endlessly creative.

Funny how it never even occurs to her to wonder about going back in time and killing Usama Bin Laden or Saddam Hussein or both in their cradles. Then a lot of people, her son included, would most definitely still be with us.

If I were President Bush, I might seriously consider selling the ranch. This woman has admitted that she is contemplating murder. We should take her at her word.

One of these days, Cindy Sheehan could tell herself, "Yes, I could do that" and become another Squeaky Fromme.

Just a little side note here. I worked with and knew quite well the guy whose .45 auto was used by Fromme. He thought he was making quite a hit with her one night when he was out on the town, let her stay at his place and showed her the gun, naturally she took it.

He really had his butt hauled over the coals by the FBI! Nothing was done though when he managed to convince them he was just trying to get laid and that she took the gun without him knowing it. He passed away a few years ago.

Hopefully, if Sheenan does flip over the egdge, she won't do any better job at shooting a president than Squeaky did.
