The Zapruder film proves itself to be authentic. There is no possibility that any frames could have been cut out of the film or altered. Why/how? Every time a frame was exposed, part of the background scene was exposed onto both the next frame and the previous frame in the sprocket hole areas. This is because the sproket holes are between frames, as shown below:

The head wound:

The large flap of skull, skin and other tissue blown out above and just in front of the president’s right ear. The flap stayed attached and hung over the president's right cheek. On the ride to Parkland, Mrs. Kennedy attempted to put it back in place. What the doctors saw at Parkland was the wound partially closed with the shattered pieces at the top rear of the wound missing. Hence, some doctors recalled a wound in that area:

What really amazes me is that Dealy Plaza was apparently open to the public very soon after the shootings. You can see people crawling all over the place soon after and in the days folowing.

Nowadays they would have closed that whole place down for several blocks and gone over it inch by inch.

I'm not a forensic expert but I am a physician, with significant knowledge of bullet wounds, and if you watch the films, Kennedy recoiled backwards from the second shot. Some say that is a decerebrate reflex due to brain injury, I say decerebrate reflex occurs in 10-15 seconds not one.

The physicist Luis Alvarez, who wrote an extensive report on the Zapruder film, showed that the backwards head movement can be explained by the forward ejection of brain matter. Alvarez is a Nobel Prize winner who worked on the atomic bomb.

Gov. Connley was downstream of one of the bullets that passed through Kennedy. Got him in the back, upper arm and ended up in his wrist, IIRC.

Did you by chance see Unsolved History on the Discovery Channel this past week? The show attempted to prove or disprove the Warren Commission and the various conspiracies about Oswald's actions that day. They dealt with his getting the three shots off within X amount of seconds, whether he had enough time to stash the weapon and make it down to the 2nd floor lunch room, where he was confronted by an armed police officer, and the time frame involved with the route he took that led him to the confrontation with Officer Tippet. If you've never watched this series, I highly recommend it. They've recreated some pretty interesting incidents out of history, and have come up with some damn good findings. By the way, their recreations on Oswald's firing the weapon and his movements afterwards all aligned with what had been reported in the Warren Commission Report.

I saw a bit about that tonight. I also see in a recent interview that Ruth Paine (who knew both Marina and Lee) still believes as she did back then (i.e., Oswald did it) ...

You are most welcome. Your questions are honest and reasonable ones. As you'll see, I posted the clearest color autopsy photo of the right side of the head here on this tread. Cholera Joe is a physician. Perhaps he can give us lay people more insight into what we see in the photo.

In this frame you can see the impact and the bullet exiting from the rear. In bullet wounds, alot of the carnage occurs upon impact. Especially in tangential impacts. The fact nevertheless remains that he recoiled from the front. Jackie didn't push him back, he was slammed back.

Might the backwards motion of his head also have been partially due to the sudden acceleration of the car. If my recollection is even close to correct, as soon as the shots rang out the driver sped up quickly .... or so accounts were saying at the time. And it certainly makes sense.

No, I didn't see the Discovery Channel series, but thank you for bringing it to my attention. As I said, I'm not arguing for or against anyone's theories. It's just that it's long past time to put to rest the legend that the fatal shot came from the front.

I love the name-calling. Those who are against any conspiracy theory resort to personal attacks even though their is no way they will ever know for sure that they are right. Those who are pro-conspiracy theory also act as if they know for absolute sure. The fact is we don't know.

Well, I wanted to make sure before I brought up the following point. And before I get labeled a conspiracy theory wack job, I haven't formed an opinion conclusively either way.

But, I've stood in that window on the sixth floor, which is now a museum. I estimate the height of that window to be between 65 and 75 feet off the ground.

At that height, the angle of a projectile shot out of that window at that limo relative to horizontal would be at least 45 degrees, probably closer to 65 degrees.

That rod showing the alleged projectile path through the wax head is almost at a rise from back to front, relative to the head. At that entry point from the rear, a projectile coming from that high of an angle should have exited down around his eyes

I'm no pathologist, but when I shoot deer out of tree stands at the same angle, the exit wound is never higher than the entry point.

Just a guess, head thrown forward with impact of shot hitting from behind. As in any "whip lash" scenario head with fling backward after being thrown forward causing remaining brain matter to be flung out. Vehicle still moving forward as well (granted not very fast) also what is the percentage deferential for brain matter forward and back? 70% forward 20% back, 10% vaporized?
