Ohh yes, vote early and vote often for Bush
I did vote early.....Finished up my absentee ballot tonite.....
Bush has at least 1 vote I know that for sure.........
So he is in the lead..LOL
And all the while NOT 'fessin' up to their roles in causing this mess in the first place.
No, I think you and are on close to the same pages here. The point of this thread was to simply advise one and that airing ANY smidgen of help to the Commies is counterproductive. Lets see what the second term brings.
Uh, not to go against the spirit of this thread, but I'd be cautious about absentee ballots, depending on where you reside. The Dems have a very effective fraud machine operating this time around, so be careful.
And would want a commanding officer who listens to possible faults.
I think you are right on. President Bush was not up to our expectations in the first debate, but I suspect he was just totally flabbergasted by the lies Kerry so easily spit out and the fact that all the tough questions were coming his way. I still thought his answers had far more substance than Kerry's. Kerry is like a lurker offering candy to little children to come go with him. Too bad so many of the sheeple will follow him.
I'm totally disgusted with Lugar. Am beginning to think he is just another of the elite group and is totally out of touch with us little folks. Probably lies awake trying to figure out how Bush beat him in the primaries.
Kerry is condescending to anyone he thinks makes less than $200,000 a year. He's looking out for us, he say. Yeah, right.
"Tom has plusses and minuses"
I agree with that. I was simply pressing one fellow poster because my (inperfect, human)
opinion is that Tancredo has the positive of warning about the downsides of unrestricted
and undocumented immigration.
And the downside that his message might appeal to folks with negative agendas,
e.g., racialists or xenophobics who might want to simply have an endless moratorium
on all immigration.
The crumbling of healthcare here in Southern California (for all!) is a canary in the mine.
And sounding alarms about a problem that might spread to other states is not
false propaganda in my book.
Yes, I agree.
Tancredo is imperfect, but so are all politicos. The problem is that too many voters want all their candidates like Burger King -- THEIR way :)
The reality is, it is hard to find a candidate with whom we agree on EVERY issue; voters who are looking for that are unrealistic. We have to simply pick the guy with whom we agree on MORE issues than the other guy.
I do like Tom's positions on immigration and healthcare.
I just hope that more voters realize that they will never agree with every candidate on every issue, but that should not stop them from voting.
This goes double for the "borders or no vote crowd." Sure, the President is less than perfect on the border issue, but Kerry is far worse, supporting open borders in an attempt to find more Democrat votes.
You obviously "get" this point, but I'm afraid that there are too many who don't.
By the way... how in the world did this thread devolve into a debate on border security???
"By the way... how in the world did this thread devolve into a debate on border security???"
'cause freepers (by diligent reading and/or inborn talent) generally have wide-ranging
views and see how part of the big-picture relate...
and 'cause Jim Robinson gave us a BIG soapbox! LOL!
A HUGE soapbox!
LOL :)
Exactly as you have always so done. I did not feel any pressure, thanks. I do see where Californians might se it a bit more personally than we Louisianans. We have our pron\blems with South and Central Americans, though not at the levels you have yours. I think California's desire to be become a People's Republic has been the engine driving this problem. I have seens and heard of rather stricter enforcement(must be working,ACLU is having kittens over it) .
In the long-term, truth and integrity wins out over lies and political pandering.
Except when Clinton got elected the second time. Although, I will be the first to admit that Dole wasn't a good choice for our side to have as a challenger.
I do agree - I'm not looking for an Amen Chorus-Echo Chamber.
