They are free to do that. If I had a pharmacy, I would not sell Clinton heart medication. If I had a JiffyLube, I would refuse to service Hillary's broom.

You guys are nuts making outrageous comments and "threats" over something that is rumor only. We have greater things to accomplish than to give our ideological opponents a hissy-fit that validates their skewed opinions of us to begin with.

Freemans phone number is: 212-420-0012 -- I talked to the manager he said "I can't comment". I think this place needs Freeping?

The girls are lucky. They could have been served food with spit in it.

Does anyone know about Jenna Bush's political leanings? I know her, but I never discussed politics with her. Well, I did talk about 9/11 and the World Trade Center.

I live in NYC and I believe this story 100000% NYC is the liberal sphincter hole of the east coast. How liberal is it? Look what the vermin elected as Senator. How liberal is it? After this city was attacked in `93 and 911, the inhabitants are still against defending it. How liberal is it? Al Sharpton is actually considered a leader. How liberal is it? Guess who won the majority of votes last Presidential election. How liberal is it? During the CLintoon impeachment me and my family were talking about what a nut Bill Clinton was when a patron sitting next to us stood up and knocked over all out drinks. How dare we offend his God. How liberal is it? Every second of every day they complain of high taxes and out of control spending, yet every election they vote for the worst tax and spend liberal Democrats in 50 out of 52 districts (Staten Island voted for Republicans, but that`s because it`s inhabitants are largely isolated from the liberal disease) How liberal is it? Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins live here. How liberal is it? Guliani was constantly protested the entire 8 years he cleaned up this city, which meant he was protested because we had a Mayor who did his job for once. How liberal is it? This is where the UN is. `Nuff said.

...Freemans tuesday night the 16th of nov. the bush twins along with 2 massive secret service men tried to have dinner they were told by the maitre 'd that they were full and would be for the next 4 years upon hearing the entire restaurant cheered and did a round of shots it was amazing!!! [Ed: We're hearing that this is actually true.]...

Does anyone know if this is true? (I'm not sure about the reliability of gawker.com)

Please FReepmail me if you want on or off my ‘miscellaneous’ ping list.

Sometimes you feel you've seen every inch of our tiny little island, but there's a hot new corner of Manhattan you probably never knew existed: Freeman Alley. Tucked away in a dark pocket off Rivington Street, the latest 'it' spot thrives, pulsing with downtown beauties and celebs - and the food isn't too bad, either. The hard-to-find locale resembles a dark hideaway you'd see in Berlin, Paris or Rome, but certainly not on the Lower East Side. The decor inside is noteworthy as well. Most talked- about restaurants that cater to a hip crowd are sleek and over-designed, but Freemans flaunts its scruffy side and tinges it with the delirious flavor of a Swiss chalet in the Alps.

We started with devils on horseback ($6), salty morsels stuffed with cheese, before moving on to the hearty wild boar terrine ($9) with roasted figs and cornichons. This hearty dish reminded me of south Tuscany fare, although everything is supposedly inspired by traditional Midwestern cuisine. Everything we ordered was scarfed down the moment it was presented, but the superb hot artichoke dip ($8) barely touched the table. The baked apple, onion and raisin stuffing that accompanied the pork loin ($14) threatened to overwhelm the taste of the perfectly cooked meat that was lean and tender, if a bit bland. A side of Yukon potato mash with truffle oil ($5) was one of the most delicious takes on mashed 'taters I've ever tasted, with a thick, smooth texture and a rich, subtle flavor that said "potato" instead of screaming "butter and cheese." Our apple brown betty ($6) dessert was unremarkable, but by then our second round of cosmopolitans had lifted our spirits.

The service at Freeman's is gracious, [barf] but beyond informal; the handsome and talkative waiter wore a T-shirt that said "F*&% Inner Beauty" and was very eager to make us feel at home - so much so that he forgot to bring silverware with my food. When I reminded him of the oversight while my friend was already halfway through his entree, the young man slapped his head and laughed it off, almost as if I should have just gotten it myself.

Prices are reasonable, especially given the hip quotient at Freemans, but don't go here just for the food. Take a few feisty friends and rub elbows with that big fashion designer's latest muse and that up-and-coming indie film star - you know, what's-his-name. If you're easily impressed by a quirky atmosphere and a downtown scenester dining beside you, this place is right up your alley. --Lapo Belmestieri

I can't get too worked up. In 2000 I quit doing business with a local Blimpie's Sandwich shop when the owner questioned my BUSH button... and yes I told them why I would not be back. I also give my local Borders Book Store so much hell about their anti Bush books that they hate to see me coming and tried, but failed (the judge is my friend) to get a restraining order to keep me out.

If an owner wants to pi$$ people off, so be it, though I do feel sorry for the two southern ladies this prick yankee offended. I will be in NY after the first of the year and will try to remember to chat with him.

Just another example of the Dems supposed tolerance. Babies.

A great freep, which could only really be done once if one wants 'clean' food, would be to go in as a large group, eat lightly, and then, after eating, raise loud cheers and toasts for President Bush, until kicked out. And yes, I'd still tip, because I won't stoop to their level.

Of course, would I, or any freeper, really want to eat at a place that would treat 2 lovely women like Barbara and Jenna in such a crass, declasse manner?

Sounds like an urban legend in the making to me. I hope the Dems black little hearts are warmed by fake little stories like these, because that's all they are going to have for the next 20 years or so to warm themselves with.
