I am so glad she didn't have to pull his plug, and I'm sorry that her mother is so ill...but, where there is life, there is hope, and Terri's case is NOT hopeless! Miracles happen and with proper therapy and God's grace, ANYTHING can happen!!

Her husband wants the state to finish her off for him...DESPICABLE!!!!

I am so touched by the kind words of my friends here. In the seven years I've been posting, this has been the most heart-wrenching subject I've been involved with. And I didn't expect such a response... on both sides.

I pray the right thing happens for Ms. Schiavo. But also for her parents AND HER HUSBAND. They are all innocent victims and human beings trying to do what they think is right. After all, isn't that what we aspire to do?

I believe "they" refers to those radical Terri supporters who accuse anyone who disagrees with their *extreme views* of "baiting" or "trolling."

It isn't even always enough to say you think Terri should go to her parents. You have to swallow the whole conspiracy theory or your posts are considered "baiting" or "disruptive".

Don't leave! You will find people who are contrary, and even hateful, anywhere you go. I haven't been here long, but I seem to make someone really mad nearly every time I post. That is just what happens when you have people who are very strong in their opinions. Sometimes on Free Republic people get really pissed off, but they are the same people with whom you could have really good conversations on a different topic. We don't eat our own; we argue. And that is a good thing.

Just ignore the hurtful things some have said. Don't post back to them.

Hildy,

Don't take it so seriously. This place is just a chat room. The single issue participants who would torture a thousand Terri Schiavos if it suited their cause. The fact that they will listen to no reason or even CONSIDER the possibility they are torturing Terri should tell you something.

I've called them ghouls and I truly do hate what they are doing but it's a religious obsession of the ignorant. Can't be helped. I've even had my posts deleted for simply arguing with them.

Screw em. FR is still a good place to get the news and slap around an idiot from time to time.
