Is that good? If I could afford having some botox or plastic surgery work done, I might do it, but being poor, I am stuck with just make-up and photoshop to help me fool 'em all.

That's not a cultural shift. Make-up on a young face is like usually guilding a lilly. Most make-up is designed to imitate on older people the features younger women just HAVE, like rosy cheeks and red lips.
