Ex-cuse me for my lack of "sensitivity", but I generally try to avoid movies about various sick people or people with extreme medical conditions that make "inspiring" recoveries and overcome great odds, etc. I'm a wuss when it comes to sick people.

I also don't like and won't go to see movies about boxing, or most sports unless they're funny. And forget prison movies unless they're about wild women with clevage and popping blouse buttons or Linda Blair, unfairly imprisoned and barebreasted in a bathtub in the slammer. That's "socially redeeming" to me.
