Why? 50 clerks instead of 130,000 agents who hide behind masks to testify before congress. Completely delusional. The fairtax will take a significant effort to enforce, especially trying to collect from the millions of self-employed.

Nonsense. No one who buys at retail will be able to purchase and avoid the tax as the "enforcement" is pretty much automatic ... if you want the thing, you pay the tax.
