Which is your favorite “fake”?

I personally love Judge Bork's ringing endorsement:

Judge Robert Bork, Leading Conservative Jurist, Nominated By President Reagan To The Position Of Associate Justice Of The U.S. Supreme Court:

“Throughout my career, I have had the honor of serving under several Presidents and am proud to make today's endorsement. No other candidate will do more to advance the conservative judicial movement than Governor Mitt Romney. He knows firsthand how the judicial branch can profoundly affect the future course of a state and a nation. I greatly admired his leadership in Massachusetts in the way that he responded to the activist court's ruling legalizing same-sex ‘marriage.’ His leadership on the issue has served as a model to the nation on how to respect all of our citizens while respecting the rule of law at the same time.”
“Our next President may be called upon to make more than one Supreme Court nomination, and Governor Romney is committed to nominating judges who take their oath of office seriously and respect the rule of law in our nation. I also support Governor Romney because of his character, his integrity and his stands on the major issues facing the United States.”
(Listen to a Romney for President radio ad featuring Judge Robert Bork: “Important Times”)

Let's see, who should I believe, a handful of Romney haters on FR, or legitimate true conservatives? No contest!

I doubt Judge Bork knew of Romney's criminal activities.
When it happened twice, was Romney directly involved .. or just too stupid to notice?

Team Romney aide’s bogus badges: Sources detail ‘illegal’ security tactic

" Boston Herald - Friday, July 20, 2007
In an apparent violation of the law, a controverisal aide to ex-Gov. Mitt Romney
created phony law enforcement badges that he and other staffers used on the campaign trail

to strong-arm reporters, avoid paying tolls and trick security guards
into giving them immediate access to campaign venues, sources told the Herald.
They (the aides) knew the badges were fake and probably illegal,”
said a presidential campaign source who asked for anonymity
because the story could damage the individual’s career.
Two additional sources confirmed that the badges - described as bright silver plates with a state seal attached -
were first created and used by Garrity while Romney was still governor."

Team Romney aide takes leave after accusations

"BOSTON, Massachusetts (AP) -- An ever-present aide to Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney
took a leave of absence Friday after he became the subject of investigations
in two states for allegedly impersonating a law enforcement officer. ...

Jay Garrity, who serves as director of operations and is
constantly at the side of the former Massachusetts governor,
is accused of .... identifying himself as "Trooper Garrity" of the Massachusetts State Police..

Meanwhile, Garrity also has been accused of telling a New York Times reporter ....
that he had run the license plate of the reporter's rental car...
New Hampshire law prohibits citizens from accessing the state's license plate database. "

Romney Staff Involved In 2 Investigations

"A Romney campaign aide is also under investigation by police in Massachusetts for allegedly impersonating a state trooper..."

No other candidate will do more to advance the conservative judicial movement than Governor Mitt Romney - just like he did in Massachusetts!

With good hair, a bajillion dollars in the bank, and a head start Romney lost the primary to John McCain. That ought to tell how well your God/Man will do in the political future.

Which candidates were still in at the point that Bork made this statement? Shillery, Barack, McCrazy and Huckster? Yeah, then I might have agreed with Bork. Sheesh talk about a bunch of looooosers, Romney included!

Sevenbak, I will respectfully disagree with the likes of Bork if their endorsements of Romney are genuine.

That, however, is not the question when it comes to two on the list I've personally investigated. Limbaugh's "endorsement" is entirely illusion. It was a comment on a show, pinched wholly out of context. Reading the entire column, Levin's is done under such duress that if that's the only kind of endorsement you can brag about ... it's saying something.

It appears to me that the bulk of the list is weighted by heavy endorsement of Romney's supreme court judge appointment competency. That is indeed a very serious and scary question, enough to queaze weak stomachs into caving to "government solution" Romney for that alone. All other considerations overridden. I knew many voters like that, who used that as the absolute last and only justification for Romney.

Plus I personally know and love very much some heavy Romney Republicans. I know them very well, I love them. It is why I also know the depth of their presumption as Daddies, who, down deep in their hearts, just know that they know better than average folks. They are the ones who talk about being "grown-ups" on the scene. They presume quite a lot about how much they are able to "serve" the country through government.

I just read through the long excerpts from the US News and World Report "My Conversation with Mitt Romney." Having read his words, and then your endorsement list -- well, all I can say is either Clarence Thomas was taken out of context ala Limbaugh and Levin, or he needs to look a little closer outside the realm of judicial appointments.

Imagine yourself sitting in the Governor's chair, and are asked to sign gun control legislation. You've got the pen in your hand. What do you do? Sign?

You, reader. Is that what you would do?

Try as I might, I can't conceive a single piece of state gun legislation that would merit a signature.

Anybody who could is somebody I'd hate to see picking judges.
