codeword for JONESTOWN has been used by many many many freepers many times.

Codeword is NOT a picture, especially when aimed at Jim Rob as it is accusing him of being Jim Jones, a murderer.

Big difference.

Oh I agree with you, and frankly I don't like ANY references to either Jonestown or to Heavensgate as both were devestatingly destructive evil cults.

However, because "koolaid" has been used SO often as codeword for you-know-what, it has conferred a ubiquity, a commoness that frankly you-know-what should NEVER been imparted.

Bob J must have dozens of humorous photos bookmarked away, as over the years, he's posted 100s, if not indeed 1000s of photographs in place of words as a reply in his posts.

One OTHER thing, too is that I was very surprised last year sometime to read that there were lots of people who didn't know that KOOLAID = JONESTOWN .... of all things they had mistakenly thought that "drinking the koolaid" was talking about Ken Keasey's classic book about LSD, THE ELECTRIC KOOLAID ACID TEST.

But NO, drinking the koolaid infers being part of a dangerously cultish group of people.

Personally, though, I don't think that cults should become objects of humor, it takes away from their inherently negative dangerous evil.
