Right now Republicans are licking their chops over the Winters, Rangel ethics probes. However, who knows what Democrats will reveal about some Republicans before the election. For example the recent revelations about Gingrich by his most recent wife.
There is wisdom in what you say. Anybody who thinks the Obama/Pelosi crowd is going to go gently into the political night just because the voters want them out is kidding themselves.
Look for scandalmongering, lies, cheating, fraud, blackmail. The green light has been given to intimidation at polling places. The hands on the levers of power have already announced that there will be no border security if it hinders the agenda. Think of what else they will threaten to unleash or withhold, or actually do, if they think it will save them.
I think this will get interesting, and not in a good way.

And what does this have to do with the 2010 elections in the US House and Senate in less than 80 days? Last I looked Gingrich isn’t on any ballot this year...
