Wake Forest, N.C. — Some Wake Forest residents woke up Saturday to find their neighborhood spray painted with racial slurs and other graffiti. Police calls about the vandalism in the Carriage Run subdivision, off Ligon Mill Road, came in around 3:15 a.m. Racial slurs were spray painted in red on a stop sign and in the roadway of Coach Lantern Avenue and Kemble Drive. A house and car on Kemble Ridge Drive were also spray painted. Investigators said they don't believe that a specific person was targeted. No arrests have been made. Public Works crews were sent out to cover up the slurs and clean up the vandalism.

I suspect, based on how the story is worded and the single picture, that it was a group of wannabe gangsters out marking objects...and that the racial aspect, since it isn’t shown, is most likely something like “Wake Forest Niggaz” spray painted on a stop sign. Since that obviously isn’t a racial insult towards a protected group, but instead from one, they chose to show one of the other typical untalented artist/illiterate attempts at gang graffiti, and let the reader’s minds do the rest.
Either way, the fact that the headline and the picture are at such odds with each other makes it noteworthy.

This is probably the result of Brad Miller’s campaign. He’s a useless democrat congressman busy stirring up controversy... I think he may lose in November. Everyone should remember last year that Miller claimed one of his constituents threatened him via a fax transmission... yet he would never hold a public town hall.
I wonder if this is his congressional district.
