Do I have anything to say? Why...yes, I do.

This was an obvious troll, and the mods took care of it. They didn’t need your very public help.

However, Retired Intelligence Officer, the one who you called for banning, is still here.

It would be educational for you to not jump the gun, and understand that the mods have things under control. However, if you see an obvious troll, such as this one...go ahead and hit the abuse button. You don’t need to publicly call him/her out.

Any other questions?

Oh, I see. I’m the only one not allowed to intimate that someone might be a troll. And I’m the only one you felt compelled to chastise for doing exactly what was done here. I did not call for RIO’s banning you twit. I only said some of the things that were said by posters here. I guess I should have written IBTZ. As you see others have publicly called him/her out here. Just trying to educate you after your attack on me.

I think you’re quite selective in your outrage and I wanted to illustrate that. I have. Thank you.

No...I didn’t say that at all. I said that you should allow the mods to do their job, and you can do that by hitting the abuse button if you feel strongly about a poster.

You said...

No link. 2010 sign up. I think you might be going bye-bye.”

If that’s not a threat, I don’t know what is. When you post things like that, you intimidate new posters, even if they are good posters. There is absolutely no reason to throw your weight around like that. There are mods for a reason, and you are not a mod. Let them do their job.

As far as the IBTZ, yes...there are threads where that isn’t just called for...it’s demanded. That’s why the mods leave those posts up. They know you like red meat. But, you need to learn which meat is red, and which isn’t. RIO’s not red meat.

Another thing you need to know is that when someone corrects you about forum etiquette, it’s not an attack on you. It’s done so that you don’t continue to make yourself look like a fool. For instance, I pinged RIO, and you didn’t even though you mentioned him in your post. It’s forum etiquette that you ping one about whom you are speaking.

Maybe, for a while, you should read more than you post.

Take a scrabble letter set. Turn them face down and mix the tiles. Draw three. Arrange them in any order, and there is a chance that is the acronym for a Federal agency. Cut their funding. Rinse, lather, repeat as necessary until the desired result is achieved. Then move on to the 4-letter agencies...

But even if we begin to put money into private retirement funds when we're young, we're still no less reliant on the next generation, for in our dying throes it's not actually money we'll be hankering after so much as medicine, hair dye, and golf clubs. These things will be bought in the future and will be produced by the next generation no matter how the system is set up. If the next generation is smaller or less productive, then they money we've put away in our private savings account will be able to buy less of value, and the only way around this is to literally stockpile the golf clubs now.

I really don't know what your point is, but I disagree with the above citation. There is a significant difference between expecting the young to pay our retirement and expecting that the young will one day produce goods we buy with our own saved money.

Of course, we will depend on the young. It's tautologous -- rather like saying that the young are America's future. So what?

If there are fewer of them and thus fewer produced goods to choose from (a highly unlikely prospect), we will still have our own money to buy from that limited selection and the young will not be obligated to support us.

The two types of dependency you've mentioned are not at all similar.

” I did a book report at FR on Corsi’s Obama book. I read the whole thing before writing a review. You would think a fool like the author of this perhaps Soros funded effort could at leaqst read the whole book, but of course that is not a typical liberal/progressive way now is it! “

Was that book “ The Case Against the Whiny Little Bitch” ?

America is in debt, but there are some things-- such as security, infrastructure, education, etc-- that we just can't afford not to buy. What exactly can we cut?

1. Put the unpaid stimulus back.

2. One of the think tanks (Heritage, IIRC) has identified budget increases between the 2008 and 2010 budget for just five federal departments that make up all of the current deficit. Cut those departments to 2008 loevels and it goes away.

3. What if we were to...I dunno, stop funding genitalia washing programs in Africa? Or stop funding research into coked-up monkeys in the Carolinas?

There's three ideas and I'm not even a congresscritter.

Ah, but to the sick, twisted mind of the liberal/progressive, such dissimilar things are analogous because someone fed them the lie that they were analogous. Liberalism is a disease that when it metasticizes turns into the deadly plague of progressivism which kills nations and is seeking to kill this Republic.
