I regretfully concur with your comments. I, too, like Herman Cain, but his resume for elected office is woefully thin.
Persoanlly I like what Cain has to say and if he is the nominee I will support him for that. Who peed on your cornflakes ths morning and why would you ever think anyone’s support was about the way he looks?
Every possible Presidential candidate has a thread running with the exact same content as yours. “Insert name here” is not electable!
And where’s the vanity tag?
Support and actually voting for him are two different things.
I don't eat cornflakes so nobody "peed" on them. I KNOW how the liberal establishment operates when it comes to older conservative blacks. You saw what happened to Clarence Thomas; you don't think the same would be done to Cain?
Didn't know that Cain was affirmative action. You care to explain further?
Yours is not the most thoughtful thread ever posted.
Eisenhower had never held elective office. The most important experience a president can have is experience managing a large, recalcitrant bureaucracy. Eisenhower, as had of the Allied Forces, and then as president of Columbia, had that in spades. I won’t claim working for Pepsi or running the Godfather’s chain rises to that level. But it’s experience, nonetheless - certainly far more than The One had.
The American people have always supported only a candidate who has won elective office previously?
What about President Eisenhower?
He was before my time, but I wonder if any back then said Ike was unqualified and lacked experience. I would think that anyone who had executive management experience such as Ike, who planned and executed the Normandy invasion, was well qualified to sit in the Oval Office.
How insulting.
You think I like Mr. Cain because he’s black?!?!?!? Well, let me inform you that I have a brain & can think for myself. I like what he says on his radio show, and I don’t care if he’s held public office. Frankly, I think career politicians are the problem with this country. He’s been in administrative positions in the private sector. That’s good enough for me.
This is coming from a guy who supports Ron Paul who is what, 71?
POLITICAL EXPERIENCE: No businessman, Congresscritter, and only 2 Senators in the modern era have ever won the White House...
So we want to keep doing the same thing over and over (getting career politicians) and expect different results?
MEDIA SPOTLIGHT: Look, let's get serious folks. Herman Cain is not photo-genic, and you know what I mean...
See responses 1 & 2.
EEE posts against *anyone* who is not his personal love, Sarah Palin.
It gets old.
Agree.
Sure, we’d rather have someone younger, better looking, but who?
Palin is damaged goods. Who else is there?
Cain is intelligent and capable. Far more so than the moderate establishment morons out there.
I mentioned retired military commanders.
I've seen this charge several times which is a joke. Cain is 65- he went to college before Affirmative Action at a time when it was actually difficult for an African-American to get into college. He also started and ran his own businesses- so did he hire himself based on quotas? Jeeze.. I never took EEE for a racialist but it seems it is verging on that.
I thought EEE was a Paultard.
You are right. We should keep electing the “experienced” candidates. After all it has worked out so well for us....LOL!
I like the fact that he has NOT been in office. It’s a selling point to me. I’m sick of corrupt politicians that talk a good game and do not do jack $hit once in office. It’s time for a change to something else.
