TMZ has learned Vincent Buckles has since left the company -- and two other licensed people are currently in charge of the business.

Things went swimmingly until 2009 … when the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms conducted a routine inspection of RJF and discovered 10 guns registered to the company could not be accounted for … a big, BIG problem. We’re told the feds pinned the blame on William and Stephanie — and were looking to take serious action that could have resulted in the end of RJF.
But law enforcement sources tell us … the Hayden’s struck a deal with feds in 2010, in which the two agreed to surrender their gun-making licenses … and in exchange, they could appoint a LICENSED person to take over the company. It didn’t take long for William and Stephanie to pick their successor … they went with Vincent Buckles… — another gunsmith often featured on the reality show.

Seems to me that Vincent was the brains. He was always telling Will what was and wasn’t safe and Will was always reminding him who owned the company.
Personally I prefer the new show with the family that runs the gun shop in Colorado.
How about the Burn Notice bumper where Mike and Fi just casually toss a pistol around? That annoys the daylights out of me.
A couple miles from me. Never my favorite shop though. Expensive and snobby.
I have never seen Burn Notice, but yes, that annoys me.

I drove a 113 once in a while in NG and it was fun a few times.
Yes, some of the” guns” could be just receivers. But that is all it takes.
Burn Notice is a fun mix of Rockford/MacGyver/A-Team action where stuff gets blown up, people shot and sometimes killed, twists and turns, and Bruce Campbell.
I did too, for one episode. Then I discovered that every episode is exactly the same. "Hey, let's build a gun for a client, in a crazy short amount of time." "Meanwhile, let's fly a helicopter to a rich client, and offer him a stack of cash for some guns."
Has to be the most painfully obvious staged "reality" show on television.
The show “American Guns” on the Discovery Channel uses similar rounds and they’ve had a couple of close calls. They blew up a target and it threw flaming debris on them and another time they set the field on fire and the fire department had to scramble to put it out before it spread.
I Liked the show,I just didn’t appreciate that the owner of the company seemed to take all of the credit for the accomplishments of his employees.
Other than that the show and his employees were great and highly skilled in their professions.

On the one hand, it gets some interested in guns as some on the other site mentioned in their comments.
And it probably drives the gun grabbers crazy since they would really like it if guns were never discussed at all in the public forum.
On the other hand, they get a bit too self righteous with the “don’t do this at home” warning – like the rest of us aren’t allowed to have guns or the right to defend ourselves.
The worst aspect of the show is their outfitting the local LEO’s with all manner of military grade weapons.
The shotgun/Taser was a particularly disturbing product of theirs – no sane person would want to have lethal and non lethal incorporated into one weapon.
One mistake by an officer in a tense situation could result in someone getting killed when non-lethal force was supposed to be employed and inadvertently, the wrong trigger is pulled.
That’s BS! They rebuilt a Lahti today and were cracking me up with the Smurf stuff.
Guess no one ever told them the ATF can be sticklers about keeping track of guns. Unless they’re headed south of the border, that is.
I can imagine a sane but evil person wanting plausible deniability if they "accidentally" shoot someone they want dead.
